we ended it today.
today is the last time we would be meeting up.
i’ve been sad about it for the last few weeks,
but it would be selfish of me to try to hold onto someone who needed to go.
i didn’t cry,
but i felt this joy with the idea of this new me getting back into the world.

i watched it religiously.
you know i was stupid addicted to all things baller wolves and that lifestyle.
they had a shit ton of reboots with all kinds of cast members coming in and out.
one of the reboots was where we discovered a future lawrence played by jay ellis.
i thought the show had ended for good,

one thing i notice about celebrities is how they treat people.
even if they’re having a bad day,
they still make time to make someone’s day.
beyonce said one time that her uncle died,
but she didn’t turn down a few fans who wanted a picture.
i had a lot of respect for her by that alone.
this is why she is beyonce and the rest are…

realistically…
Fans and stans pay these folk’s bills.

tiffany from insecure better not leave the script because the akas will jump her
i knew tiffany,
the character played by amanda seales on insecure,
was an aka (alpha kappa alpha) but it never defined her character to me.
i didn’t even know the 4 characters went to stanford tbh.
even though tiffany brings the bougie energy between the 4,
she isn’t someone that i pay too much attention to.
from what i know,
they never disrespected the aka organization on the show.

i watched insecure season 5 premiere and i legit cried cause…
many of us in our late 20s,
30s,
and 40s are still trying to find a sense of direction.
remember when we were so confident when we were younger?
“we had all the time in the world” – molly.
now it seems like we don’t have much time at all these days.
in these crazy times,
it’s easy to fall into the:
“I’m not where I need to be!”
…venus fly trap of insecure thinking.
we watch everyone else making moves,
living these amazing lives,
but we’re still at the starting line or running in the wrong direction.
that is how i felt after watching the newest episode of insecure,
“reunited okay?!”,
for their final season.
