lil nas x got your money, your attention, and a lawsuit

lil nas x has blood pressures on maximum this weekend,
huh?
everyone has something to say about his antics with this video for montero (call me by your name).
i’ve heard he’s demonic or this is an agenda to distract us from the vaccine.
(ex?) baller wolf,
nick young,
went as far as to font on twitter:

yikes.
i hope the company can survive!

i thought nike was behind the satan shoes because they look like the air maxes.
with all the controversy,
the sneakers sold out in less than a minute,
but nike is suing tf out the actual company who made them via “ew“…

Nike confirmed Monday afternoon in a statement to EW that it “filed a trademark infringement and dilution complaint against MSCHF today related to the Satan Shoes.” The company added, “We don’t have any further details to share on pending legal matters. However, we can tell you we do not have a relationship with Lil Nas X or MSCHF. The Satan Shoes were produced without Nike’s approval or authorization, and Nike is in no way connected with this project.”

why would they even put the nike logo on that sneaker?
everyone has been coming at nike hard over that video.
its one thing to make a dupe of the air maxes,
but it’s another to make a dupe with the logo.
good news?

Lil Nas X wasn’t named within the lawsuit

mschf shoulda knew the hell-storm that was gonna come for them.

nike has the lawyers to silence a not-so-known company,
but the kicks will be exclusive after this controversy since they will get a “cease and desist“.
they will legit be a collector’s item so win-win?
i won’t even lie tho:

I’d cop those sneakers if they were like 200.

the drop of human blood in them screams “satanic hollywood ritual” to me,
but i dig the look.

  1. The fact its Lil Nas X says a lot. Mind you this is not the first time somebody has fucked Satan. South Park made a whole ass movie and Sadaam Husein fucked Satan. They had a whole relationship and this was advertised for Kids. Not one outrage or whatever. It was a small blacklash and it went away. If this keep up I will go full support for Lil Nas X cause now they picking on him. His name has nothing to do with the shoes and this video is nothing new. DMX made a whole damn demonic album.

  2. This happens when you do too much trying to troll; this whole Lil Nas X situation is one big troll. While I do like Nas X, I would say there need to be some financial consequences for him in this situation if he did in fact use the Nike trademark without their knowledge and expressed permission. I don’t necessarily mind trolling when there is a good reason behind it, but trolling simply to piss people off is a recipe for disaster. Nike is worth over 200 billion dollars and Nas X is worth about 5 million, Nas X really does not want those problems.

I also think this is a good example of why you can’t let people gaslight you; there is no way anyone with common sense thought that this was a good idea; but people, especially those in the LGBTQIA+ community, are hyper committed to not letting go of any and every opportunity to anger the religious community, so much so that a legal and economic line has been crossed, and I don’t think the ones who gassed Nas X are going to step up and handle the bill. I like Nas X, but I hope he hasn’t written a check that he can’t cash.

  3. Jamari, it won’t have human blood. They made Jesus shoes as well and it was literally food coloring.

Where was this outrage when Lady Gaga did this????? Oh right, he’s Black and not allowed to profit off of hypocrisy.

“And the blood part was taken out of Gaga’s own blood sample. Certainly a must-have for Spring beauty!”

Gwyneth Paltrow sold a candle that smells like her vagina. Where was the outrage?

    This is nothing new.

  4. Another dumb ass “free to do and be whatever I want” bites the asphalt dust! Lil Nas X ain’t getting out of this scott free! Nike is coming for everyone! And if anything, Lil Nas X might be coerced into signing a deal with Nike in which he won’t make a dime because it will be a condition where he won’t have to pay damages. Dumb dumb dumb! Keep at it! All in the name of “don’t tell me who to be! Let me be free to do and be whatever I want!” OK! We’ll do just that!

    1. Yup…agreed my friend. People gone learn…sure do what you want…say what you want…but can ya handle the consequences?

    2. So you’re saying he should conform and not be who he really is and hide and be miserable and hateful like you!!!

  5. Something about this doesn’t add up! This has been trending all weekend and NOW Nike has no involvement? The company isn’t that big but I’m sure someone within the legal department knew it wasn’t a good idea to add Nike’s logo. Something tells me Nike had some sort of hand in this and decided to pull out cause of the backlash!

      1. They didn’t add the logo. The shoes are legitimate Nikes. These are just customized by MSCHF. Nike is only suing because people are “pearl-clutching outraged” right now. They didn’t give a single shit about the Jesus shoes that MSCHF made. Nike already said they aren’t affiliated but now feel they have to sue for appearances.

Lil Nas X should be able to do whatever the hell he wants as a musician. All of this hullabaloo over a music video and a publicity stunt tie-in. Ridiculous. Let’s get this mad about gun violence, domestic violence, Covid deaths, wealth inequality, lack of affordable healthcare, etc. instead.

Sorry about the rant. This week has been a trip
