you have to jump on opportunities.
it can be scary,
but you can’t let fear dictate how you live.
i’ve lived in fear for many years of my life.
that’s why when i got the following opportunity earlier this week,
i jumped on the chance.
so earlier this week.
i got a random dm that i think was “the chance”…
“tmz live” found it’s way into my dms.
i wasn’t looking for them,
but they somehow found me.
so i went back and forth with the logistics,
but something in my spirit was like:
“Do it Jamari,
as scared as i was,
i secured the date and time.
date: friday, 8/17
this was all “pst” time.
the only thing is,
i was gonna be at work and i needed a conference room.
as luck would have it,
most of the conference rooms were open around 2pm.
that’s the time i take lunch too.
everything was all set.
my topic was:
i was scared.
i tell ya!
this is a national platform that was live.
not only that,
i have been feeling ready to reveal myself to you guys.
i’ve been doing this for over 10 years now.
it was time to make those moves.
my friends were hyping me up about being on the show,
but i was scared of “what may come?“.
once the lady said “go” as i was waiting my turn,
i felt all the fear melt away.
but i did.
it was like i was on auto pilot.
that’s the thing with anxiety,
it’s really just excitement that seems like fear.
after it was over,
i was shaking,
but in a good way.
it took me 10 years to get to this point.
i’m proud of my journey thus far.
so i’m going to share my experience on “tmz live” with my foxhole family.
i hated i didn’t have a haircut when i did that.
but good times.
i was nervous af,
but at least i made them laugh with what i had to say.
this all goes down on star fox’s birthday too.
happy birthday my friend.
