did ya’ll drag your friends/family who voted or didn’t vote at all?

yesterday,
i was about to do something silly.

I was gonna send a mass text to everyone in my phone,
letting them know that if they voted for that man,
or they didn’t vote at all,
that we would not be speaking again.

in fantasy,
that felt good.

“Yeah,
Jamari,
you’re sticking it to em!”

in reality,
that does more damage and is actually very childish.
so after i sat with myself for a little bit,
i decided to

Do nothing and be cordial.

i know,
boring but check this out.

Everyone always gets mad that Sansa Stark in Game of Thrones wasn’t like her sister,
Arya Stark.

She wasn’t a trained assassin with huge plot armor.

After she saw the Lannisters kill her father in front of her,
she didn’t go on this “Revenge ‘n’ Avenge” arc while in captivity.
I hate to font that if the tables were turned,
Arya would more than likely have been killed.
Sansa Stark realized she was in the hyena’s den and stayed cordial.
She actually upped the “defenseless victim” act to throw them off,

while learning the ropes from Cersei and Little Finger.

Arya had to learn how to be a physical fighter; Sansa had to learn to be a mental fighter.
They were two ends of the same coin.
In the end,
Sansa being underestimated worked out for her
greatly.

i don’t have any evidence that anyone in my life voted (or not voted) for him.
so i’ll play nice but the moment i see regrets and complaints,
and i find out the person(s) did or didn’t vote correctly:

these types don’t get to have a pity party.
they wanted this and they get all that comes with it.
so when they start having buyers remorse,
and people love to complain loudly after they chose (or sat out) wrong,
that is when i’m going to drag them and ultimately cut ties.
realistically tho:

There are people who pretended to vote for her but actually voted for him or didn’t vote at all.
They are pretending to be upset because they are afraid of judgment.

It’s no different than people who trash their ex publicly but talk to them secretly.

so we will never know,
but this quote from game of thrones continues to apply:

lowkey: even when you find out someone(s) voted for him,
kindly find out their reasons to build your dragging portfolio.

once they start complaining,
you can use their reasoning against them.

  1. Jamari, you are absolutely on point with this!

What frustrates me even more are the people who chose to stay home and couldn’t be bothered to participate. I fall in the middle of these statistics. I graduated from college, and all of my college friends, including myself, voted in this election. However, I have another set of friends who didn’t attend college, and they did not vote.

The concerning part is that these friends, who didn’t go to college and didn’t vote, have children all under five years old. Some even have a large number of nieces and nephews who are about to become teenagers. I can’t help but feel that they have let down the people who depend on them most, and they don’t even realize it yet.

I did my part by voting, but it feels like a slap in the face because I often vote against my own best interests for the sake of improving my neighborhood, community, city, and state. I always support tax increases for schools and programs that help the less fortunate, even though I don’t have children myself. It’s just disheartening to see that these others couldn’t be bothered to participate. I’m just shaking my head.

  2. America has shown it’s true colors, they’d rather have a convicted felon as president. Racist all the way!!! Those who vote for that criminal, shame on them!! I can’t wait till it backfires.

    1. Well that’s a very strong statement considering much of America from all walks of life voted republican even people who were recent Joe Biden supporters switched once they changed candidates. So this is not just a one size fits all scenario have you ever heard of “Gays for Trump” or let’s go even further than that almost 30% black americans voted republican and that was black folks from the hood. Don’t get me started on the Hispanics they voted 70% republican so I strongly suggest you do your research.

      1. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves, math and numbers do matter, so let’s correct some things with the numbers as they stand because data is still being collected.
As a whole 85% of black people voted for Harris, 77% of black men, and 91% of black women.
As a whole 52% of Latinos voted for Harris, 43% of Latino men, and 60% of Latina women.
As a whole 54% of Asians voted for Harris, they haven’t published the breakdown by gender for Asians yet.
So I’m not sure where the 30% of black people and the 70% of Hispanics voting for president-elect Trump are coming from. This also has to take into account the alleged 10 to 15 million people who decided to stay home, to the broader point Jamari was making.
