I AM DONE BEING A LONG TERM TEMP.
i have always been a temp.
whew.
there are “a-ha” moments all through this entry so stay tuned.
i don’t know when i got into temp work,
but i know i started my corporate temp career when i lived in boston.
i was told how easy it was to get a job by being a temp.
“If you show up and show you are good at the position,
they will most likely hire you.
I got hired for my job and I started out as a temp.”
looking back,
it came off as pick me behavior.
some jobs i got were legit temp for like a few days,
but others were “temp to hire” which i usually gravitated to.
so i usually did what jamari would do…
SOCIAL MEDIA WILL KILL YOU.
we play a part in some of these sad outcomes on social media.
the blood is just as much on our hands too.
some of us aren’t entirely innocent with our behavior on these platforms.
yes.

the problem is everyone has to be on for a such large audience.
i’m talking all 50 states and the world.

BE CONFIDENT IN YOUR MESS
i was having a conversation with a friend and i said:
“You gotta be confident in your mess.”
personally,
i think many people like a mess.
i used the example of angelina jolie in the 90s.
as you know,
she was a mess…

i have been a silly hoe.
not in the literal sense,
depending on which era of my life i was in,
but i was giving a part of me away for “something”.
i was spreading myself far and wide for love and affection.
when i looked at how many bodies i collected,
and how we were all virtual strangers at this point,
i realized that these folks don’t need direct access to me anymore.
so in my new rebrand,
restart,

one of my biggest fear in the past was being outed.
either for my sexuality,
this website,
or being interested in males who seemed interested in me.
i became a recluse out of fear of people and their thoughts of me.
i was carrying around such a heavy load of shame within myself.
i was thinking about my fear of being turned on for liking “such and such”…
