I’m confused about something.

obama,
exchanging pleasantries with his favorite frenemy and our new president,
at jimmy carter’s funeral.
it caused rihanna’s socials to promptly lose its collective mind.
in the age of the “pop off”,
where drama is currency,
it seems like everyone was expecting a knuckle sandwich served hot.
instead…

We got civility served chill.

shocking,
right?
two people who don’t particularly like each other managed to act like adults in public.
cue the confusion:

Don’t we tell black people to code-switch in professional spaces?

i been told to do this when around my white peers.
put on that polite smile and play nice with (white or all?) coworkers or bosses we can’t stand.
so why is obama suddenly a villain for following the same script?
especially with someone who allegedly vowed to get revenge on his enemies.
one who has all the current billionaires bowing down to kiss the ring.

love him or hate him,
obama always been the master of grace under pressure.
even when surrounded by hyenas and jackals,
he knows how to keep his cool and up the charisma.

If he would have been rude,
they would have dragged him.
He smiles and is polite and that is upsetting.

maybe that’s the real scandal:
