I’ve met plenty of Hispanics who can understand Spanish but can’t speak the language themselves. I didn’t know most of them in the video were Hispanic until i saw it. But there are different dialects of Spanish and Dominican Spanish the most, i guess, “urban” of them all. Colombians and Argentinians speak more musically. I don’t know if we can say its worse with us because from my overall experience it’s been pretty much the same. They do the whole good hair, bad hair thing. They prefer to date those lighter than them so their kids will be lighter. The overall theme is that although we think they’re attractive and great in bed and so forth… they mostly don’t feel the same way about us.

Tajan, people sort of sweep it under the rug but their color issues run very deep. I believe you when you say they paid more attention to you than your friend because that is how they treat the darker complected groups in their own societies. Its tragic but i dont think I can blame them. It’s more of a product of the euro-centrism they experienced during colonization.
I agree 100% with Vain. Colorism definitely runs rampant among Latinos. However, I think it’s 10 times worse amongst Black Americans.

Yup. I grew up around South American and Caribbean latinos and they hate black people. Very racist and color struck. We tend to like their culture but forget how they tend to push against the African part of themselves. They have a strong preference for lighter skin and would be highly unlikely to date anyone who looks like most of us and I feel like no one pays attention to that.
