Odell Beckham Jr Gets A Time Out

Screen Shot 2015-12-24 at 10.59.45 AModell beckham jr is an interesting straight baller wolf.
as you know,
or didn’t,
he got suspended for fighting with josh norman of the panthers last week.
hell the whole team had it out for him.
word throughout the forest,
odell reacted because they chose to taunt him with gay slurs.
they allegedly called everything from “ballerina” to “faggot”.
as you know in football,
or sports in general,
there is a lot of trash talk to get into the mind of your opponent.
odell should already know this.
hell when you are doing this before a game…

…what do you really expect?
this is one of the problems i have with the straights wolves.
they do the gayest shit,
but then when called out on it or hit on,
they get mad and want to prove their man hood.
giphy
according to michael irvin,
baller wolves have always been using “gay slurs” to taunt odell.
this is what he said via the ny times:

“Michael Irvin, the Cowboys Hall of Fame receiver, was about to get on a flight leaving New York on Tuesday afternoon and was speaking on his cell phone to Beckham for the third time in three days since the great OBJ meltdown.

Irvin said Beckham told him the Panthers were trash-talking at him with gay slurs and before the game taunted him with a baseball bat. Apparently, the gay slurs directed by NFL players at Beckham are not new.

Beckham informed The Playmaker he has been “dealing with it every week,” Irvin told the Daily News.

“He deals with it a lot. For some reason, everybody goes after him with gay slurs. He’s a different kind of dude. He has the hairdo out, he’s not the big muscular kind of dude. The ladies all love him. He’s a star. I wonder why people are going in that direction. It blows my mind. I told him he can’t let stuff that people say get to you,” Irvin said.”

…but again,
how can he act surprised with all the antics he does?
its almost like my situation with “that wolf”.
he did things to lead me on.
odell does things to lead the public on.
so my question is…

Why you mad tho?

i guess its only okay when they’re in control.

lowkey: look how mad odell really was on the sidelines tho:

awww.
he still “crutes” tho.

  1. Literally all he does is dance. Lol. People have a very skewed and narrow view of what masculinity is. People will say ANYTHING is gay. This is what’s wrong with so many men (especially Black men) now. They are hyper-aware of their sexuality to the point where it cripples them.

  2. DWRCL….this dude kills me. But you know what- amidstt all the glam, glamour, fame, athleticism HE IS ONLY twenty fucking 3- that’s right 23 so I will excuse his fine ass and allow him to grow the fuck up. He is like a deer in the headlights, love the attention so like any young buck he does ANYTHING to seek attention or get the camera on his ass. He will soon learn that all that glitters ain’t fucking gold and this league is bigger than his ass. Remember too he is a 90s child and these mutherfuckers are the ones that are a part of the CRACK generation so nothing he does frightens me. He is a FREAK! He will learn and he will bomb just like TO and the other media seeking attencionado ChadJohnson.

  3. Gay slurs aside, I believe he had ever right to his emotions. They taunted him with a bat for god’s sake. What’s unfortunate is that people dismissed his concerns as ridiculous (can anyone say ‘Tonya Harding’ for 200, please). Being called something repeatedly would bother anyone.

Outside the gay issue, I think they’re going harder at OBJ because he is an undeniable star (whether you agree he’s good at his job, or not). Something about overly talented or confident/arrogant people makes others uncomfortable, and society revels in their fall. Think Ronda Rousey, Kobe Bryant, Serena Williams, Kai Greene, Angelina Jolie. And Lawd knows everyone just waiting on Beyonce and Floyd Mayweather to stutter step…

Instead of telling him he has no right to be mad at being mislabeled, we should tell men (and society) to stop being myopic and corraling others into a box for being themselves…

  4. i love the fact that he’s silly and carefree…black men try to be hard to masculine at times to the point where it’s sickening just be yourself…we brothas come in many forms, shapes, sizes and personas…

  5. I’M HERE FOR ODELL…DON’T THIRST FOR HIM CAUSE HE’S TOO RIPE (YOUNG), BUT I DON’T PUT NOTHING PAST AN ATHELETE. I DATED THE CAPTION OF A PROMINENT COLLEGE BASKETBALL TEAM IN THE 90S.

I WILL NOT CAST ASPERSIONS ON HIM, BUT HE IS VERY METEOSEXUAL, AND IN-LINE WITH THE TEMPER,ENT OF HIS GENERATION. I’M HAPPY TO SEE THAT HE’S COMFY WITH HIMSELF.

HE SHOULD KEEP SWERVING AND SASHAYING (LOL) ON ‘EM!! GIVE 0 FUX ODELL AND DO YOU.

99% OF THOSE HATING MUPPETS WILL BE RETIRED AND BROKE BY THE TIME YOU REACH YOUR PRIME.

  6. He deserved the suspension, and I applaud the league for actually not giving him a special privilege because he is a star because I just knew that shit was going to be overturned. The problem is, Beckham needs to humble himself. He is only a second year player and he has to learn how to conduct himself because trash talking is normal, it is going to happen, and he has to deal with it.

    1. Josh should’ve been suspended as well. He slammed the guy…and that’s what set off Odell. Sure he could’ve handled it a better way…but Norman set it off. He seems to have his head on pretty straight.
But then again, in situations like that those emotions and testosterone are at peak levels…anything is liable to happen. Even the “vets” have allowed their emotions to get the best of them now and then.

      1. Yea I understand, but let’s be real, Odell was the agitator the whole game and took multiple shots at Norman. One time, Odell damn near knocked him out.

    2. No one should have to dim their light to make others comfortable. Norman is a known trouble maker. He’s knowm to get into it with other teammates. There’s also no reason for him to have a baseball bat in a football stadium saying he’s going to, “end Odell’s career”……..

  7. Wow, he should own it! For a man that prances around the field who seem confident in his own. Look at Dwayne Wade, I alway see him get pedicures, and doesn’t care what ppl think and is a cool guy.

  8. Sorry but LMAO at the last video where he is spazzing! His “angry” reaction is not convincing at all!

  9. I feel bad for Odell with all of the gay derogatory name-calling, but he shouldn’t let them bother him even tho I know it hard (believe me I know cause all you want to do is take a sledgehammer and beat them with it.) At least he got Trey Songz to comfort him 💏 👨‍❤️‍💋‍👨😚

      1. Moi? Shady? Impossible. I’m just saying Odell and Trey seem to have a close loving relationship where they can make each other very happy without saying a word but manage to have their mouths open all night

  10. Hmmmm, this takes me back to the Michael Sam thing. AMERICAN FOOTBALL WILL NEVER BE READY FOR AN OPENLY GAY PLAYER! Unless you are the biggest nigga on the field that can whoop everyone’s ass, you won’t make it. Football, or any sport really, is a head game. Once your opponent can get in your head, he can take you out. Odell probably isn’t gay, but he’s cute (pretty), trendy, flashy, dresses fly, and is well paid. #easytarget. Coupled with his off the field antics, he makes bullys salivate. He’s smart though. He’ll learn from this and develop ways to block people from getting to him. He could learn from some more composed receivers like Roddy White, Dez Bryant, and Larry Fitzgerald

  11. You can tell he is really passionate about football but yes he is a different individual, but that is what’s so likeable about him. He’s not your regular muscular, bottle popping, strip club going baller. I get it though it’s only so much a person can take.

  12. Damn..as a fellow Scorpion, he should have let his footwork be his mouthpiece. You should never let them see the things that will push your buttons. They will perceive it to be your “weakness” and harbor on it non stop. It was a hard lesson learned..talented player..I hope he does better with reactionary decisions during the game.

    1. ^love this line

“You should never let them see the things that will push your buttons. They will perceive it to be your “weakness” and harbor on it non stop.”

      1. Oh yes Jamari, been there done that, got the soundtrack! I’ve learned the art of “never let them see you sweat”.
