i just wanted to post sheryl lee ralph‘s speech from the emmys.
we need some inspiration…

how powerful!!!!!!!
i legit cried watching this earlier.
i loved what she said on the view a few months ago:

 

i’ve know her from moesha but ( x her body of work speaks for itself ).
she has been in the industry for over 4 decades.

 

this win is literally the definition of:

The payoff of all your hard work
When your manifestations come into fruition
“This is your time”
You’ll know when its for you and when it’s not

the same goes for quinta brunson:

who knew quinta would be the vehicle to make all this happen?
we never know WHO will bring our blessings.
some of these folks be too mean and cliquey to understand that.
i remember when she was making skits online.
i’m inspired af after seeing all of this.
congrats to sheryl lee ralph and quinta brunson for their emmy wins.

i followed him on random back in the day on snapchat.
i only know him as friends with mack wilds.
i thought he was so cute.
talk about a full-circle moment.

  3. ❤Congratulations to Sheryl Lee Ralph on her Emmy win it was long overdue and shouts out to her for singing Dianne Reeves’ song “Endangered Species”.Ms.Reeves was interviewed by Essence Magazine and said it has been a blessing having Sheryl include her in that special moment.She said she has received a lot of love and support from people who heard the song during the acceptance speech.She also said Sheryl has been singing it for years at her DIVAS Annual AIDS benefit because the lyrics gave her power and Dianne hopes new listeners will find power in the words of the song.
