The Monique situation has many layer, but lets just keep it real with the bigger picture for a moment. People have been on a campaign for the the last 10 years to humble or in other words give the N word wake up call to Tyler Perry and Oprah. News flash, it is very hard to almost impossible to humble a billionaire, people have been putting a battery in Monique’s back for years, but she just doesn’t have the juice.
Taraji, P Henson starts talking about the pay gap and no one is really paying attention until it becomes about some alleged tension between herself and Oprah. Someone must have made a phone call or tapped Taraji on the shoulder, because she made it clear that her complaints and concerns were not directed at Oprah. There is nowhere in the real world where you can make an enemy out of billionaire and think that their won’t be professional consequences.
Monique doesn’t take accountability, she made all the fuss in the world about a Netflix special and when she finally got one she didn’t deliver.
As far as the son is concerned, he was dropping jewels. “ Standing in your truth doesn’t make you noble” was a whole word. It all goes back to “ people in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones” you need to get your own house in order before you start with other people. People want to look at Sidney, but if they took Christian vows when they were married then Sidney is doing what he is supposed to do, “ clinging to one another, forsaking, all others”.
