i had on my schedule to pencil in some time to watch “halston” on netflix.
it stars ewan mcgregor,
who plays the iconic fashion designer,
and was executive produced by ryan murphy.
when i was moonlighting as a freelance stylist at fashion week,
i did one of his shows. see:
shout out to the ones who put me on to that. anyhoo, i took three important tidbits from the show…
i just don’t get the appeal of messing with children.
i’m sure it’s about control.
when you’re on the way to stardom,
it’s really sad when you get caught up for your disgusting ways. jerry harris was on his way to fame by being on the netflix show, “cheer“.
the show has won two emmys thus far.
he was getting invited to talk showsand everything:
“90s and up” kids understand the joy that was blockbuster video.
friday nights at blockbuster was poppin’.
that’s when you go to rent the newest release that was in the theater.
i use to beg my parents to pick up “such and such” a movie/game.
for those who remember,
there was like 50-11 copies of the new movie and all of them would be gone.
those were some of the best moments of my childhood.
blockbuster is no more (well except one place in the us)…
…but it’s all about streaming movies and tv shows. no more getting vex by something we want to see not being in stock.
it’s all there at our fingertips,
whether illegally or not. i woke up from a nap today to see all of my 90s fav black tv shows are coming back…
