clinging to the past won’t save us

This picture is brutal but it is life.
It is the circle of life.

i had a dream about this picture last night and it came with a message.
as you can see,
that picture is a leopard who killed a monkey,
while its child clung to its lifeless body.
it was shot by igor altuna.
what’s interesting is that…

Both animals are mothers.

the mother leopard handed the baby monkey to her cub in order to teach it how to hunt.
it took an hour for the cub to finish the job.
( x read more here )

That is the harsh reality of the circle of life.

i saw this pic last year and it made me sad.
it was so cruel and i remembered feeling hurt for the baby monkey.
in my dream tho,
the message hit me:

That leopard is power.
The dead monkey are those who never saw it coming.
The baby monkey are the ones still clinging to old illusions.
The leopard cub is the next in line.

…and like the baby monkey,
which mirrors this current climate in america,
it’s only a matter of time.
these people don’t care about us.
they are hunting and they think we are prey.

in the jungle,
the mighty jungle…

it doesn’t hand out participation trophies.
neither does this jungle we live in called life.
the leopard cub wasn’t born a killer; it had to learn.
meanwhile,
the baby monkey never stood a chance.
some of us are raised to hunt; others to be hunted.
the real question is:

Which one are you?

lowkey: i saw this video with a leopard and a baby deer.
the title was a leopard was saving a baby deer from a hyena.

yeah,
no.

that baby deer was lunch.
in that video,
there is a strong message about naive innocence versus a known predator.
find it.
