A Georgia pastor who said that the victims of the Orlando massacre ‘got what they deserved’ has been arrested for child molestation of a young male who attended his church.
Ken Adkins, 56, also fought against expanding non-discrimantion protections to LGBT people in Jacksonville, Florida.
Jacksonville.com reports:
One of the two charges against the 56-year-old is aggravated child molestation, said Stacy Carson, special agent in charge of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Kingsland office.
District Attorney Jackie Johnson asked the GBI on Aug. 12 to assist the Brunswick Police Department in an investigation of an accusation of child molestation against Adkins, Carson said. The investigation focused on suspected molestation in several locations in the Brunswick area including at Adkins’ church, a vehicle and a victim’s home, Carson said. The investigation is ongoing.
Lawyer Kevin Gough told the Times-Union he is representing Adkins and believes the accusations are said to have occurred in 2010. He said Adkins had willingly turned himself in.
The victim was reportedly male and one of Askins’ parishioners:
[Adkins’] wife, Charlotte Stormy Adkins, said she and the congregation support Adkins and are disappointed in the rush to judgment against him. She is confident he will be cleared of all charges but shares her husband’s concern for the young man who came forward with the allegations. She said he is a part of the church ministry and has been mentored by the couple. She also said while her husband takes leave, she will be interim pastor.

The way self-hate runs so deep with many gay men in this world is really disturbing. Like, how do you live with yourself publicly bashing people for something that they have in common with you? Does it not eat you up? Does it not play with your conscious?? Some people have convinced themselves so much that they aren’t who they really are where it’s got to the point where they are numb when it comes to them spewing hate to the very same community that they happen to be a part of.
Also, IDC how you “identify” yourself in terms of sexual orientation, if you’re attracted to men then you still fall in line with homosexuals & get treated like one when it comes to gay bashing. You are not different from the bunch, stop playing yourself.

Well what do we have here? Another pastor caught up in another scandal. We all know the biggest hypocrites in the churches are the pastors, so none of this surprises me. I just find it so disturbing when a grown ass man takes interest in children. I will add this as well. Similarly to mental illness, I have noticed that our people have the habit of acting as if pedophilia does not exist in the black community, but it does.
Sad part is that members of the congregation will stand behind him. I have no love for sexual predators or pedophiles.
I think we have to be careful in assuming this guy is gay or DL.Many pedophiles molest children of both sexes so it’s possible he has female victims as well.We DK.One of my male cousins was molested by a female neighbor.That woman identifies as lesbian despite the fact she molested my male cousin.So I have learned that just because a predator molest kids of the opposite sex doesn’t mean they are straight and vice versa.

I’ve noticed there’s two types of people out there: you have the people that dislike gays and there’s the people that go out of their way to give gays a hard time. The people going out of their way, unprovoked, are always the ones questionable.
He was charged with aggravated too, that means he stooped as low as possible. I find it interesting how it’s always people like pastors. If you ask me it’s because most are con-artists using people’s faith to their advantage.
