i love a good web series.
you know i love good tv.
with the right plot and characters,
it can really pull you in.
that being said,
i have noticed something with 98% of gay web series:

“PORN WITH A PLOT”

i mean,
am i lying?
i got a dm from foxholer malcolm about this today.

it’s hard to watch a gay web series because you’re so busy jackin off to it.
i’m seeing an abundance of porn stars in them too.
can i be honest?
no pun intended.
even tho this is a “tyson plus” production,
and i love everything he does,
i don’t even know what “honest men” is really about.
i tried to get into it,
but all i saw was tripp ali:

all i can think when i see tripp now is:

he can act

…because he does both so well.
this all reflects the community tho.
we like cheap and easy sex,
so our programming will more than likely cater to that.
i like a build up to sex in real life and in a show.
it also needs to have a point.
a well written point.
nothing is better than the sexual tension between two characters.
even if one of the characters is “the hoe”,
the character development reflects that.
so the sex isn’t meaningless.
sort of like how they do in “power” and “insecure”.
those tv shows can get sexual,
but there is still a point.
even with straight web series like ( x tough love ).
sidebar: if you like a good straight web series,
check that one out.
gay web series are borderline raunchy af tho.
folks be suckin whole dicks and legit banging each other stupid.
sex scenes be a good 15 minutes.

i say more story line and a little sex here and there.

    I just finished watching that I can’t wait for season 2. The plot was understandable and entertaining. Any sex in the show actually made sense from a story/character pov, and wasn’t just shoehorned in for some plot-irrelevant reason. Cheaterz never win just started but it’s still really good, looking forward to more episodes.

  6. TV shows and movies have gotten raunchier too. I’ve seen actors showing full on big dick on Westworld, Cat Run, and Game Over Man!

    As for Signal 23, they need to be shut down because I heard someone caught an STD while filming with one of those porn actors. And they have nerve to charge for that trash!

    I’ll stick to Love @ First Night, Giants, and reruns of Finding Me when I want to see a scripted Black, queer series and Pornhub when I want to see porn!

  7. to be honest most gay web shows are porn w/ a flimsy at best plotline.

    If i had to say I enjoyed a webshow that features minimal sex it’s love @ first night, no shade, triangle and the sub shows are a good guilty pleasure, somewhat cheetah in august was pretty good. I think there was others but that’s really the first things that came to mind.

  9. I don’t know about anyone else, but I have always thought of those shows as guilty pleasure dessert with my prime time shows being dinner.

    1. I know it’s not a TV show but you guys should check out Issa Rae presents…Fruit. It’s a podcast series. It is very well done.

  10. I honestly despise these web series because the acting is soooo bad I just can’t. I really do want to watch and enjoy a well written and acted web series but it’s like they don’t exist. Honestly with the way it’s going they should jus go full on with the sex and have a good porn plot like the 90s and 00s flicks used to be. I mean with the amount of porno stars and strippers they have in them now might as well.

  15. I like Giants they have a LGBT character whose story is great. My mind is kind of blank right now though I’ll update later when I remember a few more

  16. I strongly recommend Love at First Night. It’s on YouTube and has 2 seasons. Great storyline and character development. You’ll want to watch it all in one sitting, it’s that good!
