  1. This is normal in the modelling industry. Every client wants a specific look for what they’re selling. Some want Black, some want mixed, some want white only, tall, muscular, skinny, etc.

    This isn’t uncommon.

  2. The definition of “black” varies. Most scientists refuse to even consider races because of how unreliable the definition is. Everyone is mixed, you’ll almost NEVER see a person composed of 100%. The one drop theory was used to more easily classify a person as black in the slavery era. Most consider anyone black that had to deal with that inequality.

To asked for “mixed” is to ask for everyone technically. Kanye is probably about to judge who is mixed based off of which has the most caucasoid features without having pale skin. I doubt he’s asking people to show papers.

      1. The one drop theory is very racist, but it’s the theory America chose to make mainstream and enforce through slavery, not me. It’s also America that decided “mixed” isn’t a race, since we’re all mixed. You’re welcomed to try to get that changed. Until then please stop trying to say mixed is a race officially, because it’s not.

People want so badly to be known as mixed instead of black, seeking the approval of racists. It’s funny to me, any race that isn’t white will still be mistreated in America.

      2. The one drop theory offers no escape from blackness. People are always desperate to separate themselves from the hated category. Some do it by creating new categories like “creole”. Others create family legend about an “indian” great grandma. ( we have DNA tests now. I dare all of you to pay $100 to find out you are zero percent native american and that your “good hair” comes from a white slaver putting his dick in a pussy he owned or from another one having passed her around like a party favor. Yeah. the family legend about a love affair with a slave owner is a lie too.). Others just embrace the category even as they fight the assumption that Black means just barely human. Say it loud. Im BLACK and Im proud!

  3. 😳I’m over these brain washed black men with their color complex. We need more brothers out here showing dark skinned women that they’re just as beautiful and desired.

I really wish people would stop giving men like this attention, idgaf how talented they are. Celebrities have too much influence in this generation for the youth, we can’t have men like this being an example for them.

  4. Yes, there are mixed, mulatto and biracial people. So what. They are not black and that’s fine.

What it means to be black
To accept the racist “one drop” theory is racist and accepts a central tenet white supremacy, which is blackness as a taint. “Black” is not a philosophy, a club or a way of life. “Black” is a race. “African American” is an ethnic group within the black race as is Haitian, Nigerian or Kenyan. Just as Irish or Irish American is an ethnic group within the white race as is Italian, French or German.

Nor is being black defined by skin color. The black race has the highest rate of albinos of any race. And yes, such albinos are fully black. On the other hand, this so called “one-drop” theory that says that if you are part black, then you are black is a bunch of bull. First, it was invented by the racist white slave-owner for the benefit of the racist white slave owner and not the slave. And I will not have my views dictated by dead racist white slave-owners. Second, it’s racist. It’s based on the theory that black blood is a taint so much so that it taints and spoils all the other blood that is there. And that as a taint, all must be thrown in the garbage that is the black. We’re not going to co-sign on a racist theory that sees us and our ancestors as the functional equivalent of garbage. (We are not garbage and neither are our ancestors!) If you co-sign on the racist one-drop theory, then you are co-signing on racism. Third, it has no basis in reality. It says foolishly “To get more oil, just add water.” (With the black heritage being the “oil” and the anything else being the “water”) That’s foolish. At some point, if you add water to oil, it becomes watery oil and later it becomes oily water. And if you add enough water to the oil, it becomes virtually indistinguishable from plain water and will be fit to drink. At some point if you add water to oil, it becomes unable to lubricate and stops functioning as oil.

Therefore, Pan-Africanist American-African writer, historian and professor John Henrik Clark wisely said “You cannot make a good African between the legs of a European woman.” Dr. Claud Anderson came to the same conclusion saying, “If I pour water into gasoline I didn’t make it any stronger, I made it weaker.” You cannot make more “oil” by simply adding “water”. To think that you can is foolish—and racist.

(Racism is the belief that one race is inferior or superior to another race. The “one-drop” theory with blacks as a taint, as garbage clearly fits into that racist scheme.)

Now, there are people who are sufficiently diluted of their black DNA that they are not black. No race of people is “pure” so having some other-than-black ancestry does not make you not black. Just like having some other-than-white ancestry does not make you not white. Certainly if your non-black DNA is equal to or equivalent to your black DNA, then you are not black. Furthermore, one’s race or ethnicity is not like a club. You either are or are not “born that way”. You can’t join it like a club. They are people—just not black people. They are humans—just not black humans. Such people include President Obama, Mariah Carey, David McIntosh, Boris Kodjoe, Shemar Moore, Halle Berry, Tiger Woods, Benjamin Jealous (former head of the NAACP who is 90% white by DNA), Melisa Harris-Perry, etc. (Halle Berry foolishly said that since she was black, her daughter is also black. Well, the fact is that Halle Berry is half-black so is biracial and that her daughter is born of a white man so is Ÿ white! Such foolishness!) (And Tiger Woods is ÂŒ black and Âœ Chinese! Yet some want to call him black! Correction: He’s mixed race!) Such people are mixed, mulatto or biracial. We oppose racism in all its forms and permutations (including the racist canard called the “one-drop” theory) and we ask you to oppose racism in all its forms and permutations too. When you know better, you do better.

    1. Its about being proud of whatever degree of blk you are.Look at Jesse Williams and Colin Kaepernick, two biracial men standing up for the blk community.Just because someone is half blk doesnt mean they cant identify with the blk struggle or acknowledge they may be favored because of there racial ambiguity over a traditional looking blk person.Remember we live in a Western,European.White -centered society.Being a mixed person is favored in this society because blkness and africaness has always been looked down upon.the more lighter, less blk, white you become the better status you can attain.Point blank blk people have constantly been condition to hate themselves. We need to have pride whatever degree of blkness we are.

    2. Maybe some day we will have a Black President of the United States, Secretary of State, Secretary of Commerce, Attorney General, Governor of a Southern State. By your definition, none of those has been achieved yet. And, the only Black justice of the supreme court has been Clarence Thomas. And, the only Black mayor of DC has been Marion Barry. A part of the reason that Black Americans are the best off large population of Africans on the planet is that the one drop rule has given us access to the outsized resources mulattos like WEB Dubois, Booker T Washington and Thurgood Marshall glean from their white ancestors. No such access is granted in Latin America and the result is the shitty conditions of the darkest peoples. One need look no further than neo-apartheid in the Dominican Republic.

      1. Jay: Only you say that “by your definition, none of those has been achieved yet”. I did not. Please let me state my position. When others state “my” position, they tend to distort it for their own purposes–as you have. Thank you.

      2. “Yes, there are mixed, mulatto and biracial people. So what. They are not black and that’s fine.” THEY ARE NOT BLACK…your words not mine. Barack Obama? Douglass Wider? Adam Clayton Powell? WEB Dubois? Bob Marley? Ron Brown? Thurgood Marshall? Adrian Fenty? Maynard Jackson? These people are considered Black only in the context of the one-drop rule. Not one of them would be Black in a society that offered an alternative to Blackness like Mulatto in Latin America or colored in South Africa. I continue to believe that Black America would be worse off had these individuals not applied their talents to refuting the idea that Blacks are inferior. In Latin America, every one of them could instead have said ” Im not inferior but Blacks are cuz Im not Black.”

      3. Tony- I never said any such thing. I did imply that in racial caste systems, whiter people tend to have more resources. Nothing about my knowledge of American history contradicts that in our case. I think we are better off that the wealthy redbones are inside the Black tent pissing out than we would be if they were outside the Black tent pissing in. Every single other multiracial society with a history of slavery proves me right.
