You Shower Too Much (Funky Fresh Dressed To Impress Ready To Party)

gerbded3drnhjbsc0ylli love to take a shower.
in the summer,
i will jump in the shower twice.
can we talk about my shower regiment real quick?
yay ok!
so first i lather my body up with ivory bar soap.
once i wash that off,
i take my washcloth and squeeze dr. bronners peppermint liquid soap on it.
i like how it makes my body tingle.
it might a lot to some,
but a fox just likes to feel clean and smell good.
F-YI: as soon as you get out the shower,
spray your cologne on your body while your pores are still open.
the scent lasts longer.

well it seems like i might take a shower too much.
it isn’t healthy apparently.
an f-bi sent me this write up from “elite daily” and well…

Showering too much can actually damage your skin.

WHAT? Isn’t the entire point of showering to cleanse your skin? Maybe, but you’re doing it far too often and in all the wrong ways.

Let’s get scientific for a moment: The top layer of your skin is comprised of hard, dead cells (umm, gross) which protect the underlying layers of healthy skin.

The top layer is held together by lipids, aka fatty compounds, that help maintain moisture, so any time you shower and scrub, you are breaking this layer apart.

OK, so how is that bad for your skin? Josh Clark explains, “The more showers you take, the more frequently this damage takes place and the less time your skin has to repair itself through natural oil production.”

Believe it or not, you can get away with bathing only twice a week.

GASP! Yup, I said it — TWICE A WEEK! Sure, this may sound disgusting to some, but to others, this is quite a relief. A trend called “cleansing reduction” supports this idea as its benefits include maintaining the good “bugs” that help fight diseases.

According to Lancaster University sociologist, Dr. Elizabeth Lancaster, this trend is far from new and has been around for at least a century.

John Oxford, Professor of Virology at Queen Mary’s School of Medicine and Dentistry is another professional who supports the idea of showering less frequently.

He argues that as long as people are consistently and constantly washing their hands and staying aware of the situation below the belt, including the use of a bidet, showering twice a week would not be problematic.

oie_z2dggfe0gyjw_by_ninjayesh-d7p3etp…yeah no.
so we have these things called “balls”.
if they aren’t clean,
they start to smell funky after a while.
we also have this thing called a “bootyhole”.
need i say more.
then there is this thing called “pubic  hairs”.
they can trap the funk all inside.
like a venus fly trap or a jungle of some sort.
as gay/bi/curious/tri men,
we always need to be clean.
the stories i hear about legit funky men before hook ups.
like how are you gonna meet up to have sex with someone and be stinkin?
house be stinkin?
what?

these jackals out here be dead serious.
i don’t know about you,
but i will continue to shower once or twice a day.

lowkey: this might be od…
but before i put anyone’s dick in my mouth or eat groceries,
the whole situation needs to be clean.
like…
giving yo wolf head after a long day of work or playing sports.
yeah no.
shower please and thanks!
…and you know some of these straight wolves be nasty af too.

  1. Amen! I can not stand body odor in America! (Poorer countries get a pass) It demonstrates a lack of self respect, lack of respect for others, and just plain NASTINESS! There’s this white dude at my job who, real talk, smells like cheese, feet, butt, and spoiled milk. Can you imagine smelling that shit in 90+ degree weather in the South? Wash ya ass!

  2. Ugh. My roomate freshman year bathed once per week. It was a terrible smell of body soil and fresh dirt.

Also.?There’s a difference between a masculine guy who smells like a light layer of sweat, a funky ass pineapple, and a man fresh out the shower. Two that i’d fuck.

  3. Omg. And when this dude came to my crib and didn’t shower, or fleet, AND had the nerve to ask my why I wasn’t hard. He came straight from work and wanted to get it in asap. I kicked his funky ass right out. I think the door actually hit him. Yuck.

  4. I have heard this before with bewilderment, I know you shouldn’t take long hot showers because it strips the skin of moisture but bathing twice a week is something I will NOT do.

  5. Yes. and Ma’am. No thank you on that recommendation. But yeeeeessssss J! – I use Dr. Bronner’s almond liquid soap for an after-rinse and it is heavenly …

  6. Is this more like a general study (i.e. white) and AA folks aren’t included. From my knowledge our skin doesn’t dry out as quickly compared to folks w/ zero melanin.
I can’t believe this applies to ppl of color is all I’m saying.

  7. American bathrooms don’t have bidets in them…unless you’re rich or pretending to be rich. LOL
I will continue to take my showers daily. I make sure the water is warm enough but not too hot (in the winter I make it hot for a few then gradually make it warmer). During the summer I make the water slightly cold, but not too cold!
I make sure the ass, nuts, feet, and armpits get ample attention. LOL

If you wouldn't say it on live TV with all your family and friends watching, without getting canceled or locked up, don't say it on here. Stay on topic, no SPAM, and keep it respectful. Thanks!
