so they have found a possible motive why simone battle took her life…
G.R.L. singer Simone Battle had been struggling with financial problems before committing suicide … TMZ has learned.
We know friends and family members told law enforcement … Battle was depressed over money issues recently — the family wasn’t specific but they were clear … money was bringing her down.
The family didn’t quite understand, because Battle was part of a successful singing group that had just completed an overseas tour.
People close to Battle told cops … she was frustrated that she hadn’t hit in the U.S. and worried she never would. Apparently Battle wasn’t cutting it financially overseas.
ya know,
last year when i had no job and was broke as hell,
i tried to take my own life.
it is definitely no secret.
i documented it all on here during those dark times.
even some days recently,
feeling like i’m stuck in this dead end job,
the thought crossed my mind.
even though i am blessed to have a job,
i feel completely stagnant and going nowhere.
i felt so depressed yesterday going to work.
with my google adsense fail,
and working around people who don’t respect me,
i was ready to give up.
i worked a great fashion week last week,
but the issue is i had a taste of what i wanted to do with my life.
i love spending time on my site and connecting with people who “get me”.
sadly i’m a slave to a desk job.
i feel her tho.
it has little to do with money,
but more with where is life is taking you.
you imagine in your head where your success should take you,
but life has a way of throwing curve balls towards your head.
not doing what you love is crippling.
people don’t get that so i feel her.
she didn’t know what was right around the corner.
blessings never sets up like rain.
it happens and can change your life for the better.
plus she stood out more than those vixens in that group.
too bad she couldn’t see that.
you never can when you are distracted fighting your demons.
i hope she is at peace now.
lowkey: i have a feeling many people on instagram,
including the top entertainers right now,
are feeling like this.
you never know whats happening in someone’s “happy” life.
you only really know when they decide to check out early.

I think Mariah will be next. It seems like she has an issue with getting older and the fact that she won’t have a Cher like major comeback like with Emancipation. Then a break up. But suicide is a selfish act, it hurts those more around you. Plus. You never know what great things life WOULD have had in store.
OMG Mac I have the same exact feeling about Mariah. I think she’s def the type to take her own life. Bottle of sleeping pills maybe…while she’s wearing her favorite gown. I call it…i wonder if I can bet on it in Vegas.
Jamari, speaking of change, more than a week ago I wrote you seeking your contributions to solutions to the many problems that plague African Americans. The email to you (which was sent to you via the “contact” page of this website) had the title “LEADERSHIP BEGINS AT HOME (Beyond Mike Brown and Ferguson, Missouri)”. When should I expect a reply to that email?
She was young and had her future ahead of her tho. People don’t believe in change.
Jamari, suicide is a permanent solution for a temporary problem. But past the platitudes, please remember that most people do work that they don’t particularly enjoy or that they hate. And plenty of people would love to have a job that they hate because now they have no job at all.
If you are in a job that you don’t like, change it. If you are in a dead in job, change it. You may not have the power to change it immediately but you have the power to try to change it and you have the power to plan. You are relatively young and that’s to your advantage. Why not go to several community colleges and talk with several career counselors at them and discuss your career and educational options and goals? Why not discuss your career and educational options and goals with that older lady that you met at work and that befriended you? Why not make a one-year plan for yourself? Why not make a five-year plan for your self?
If you want change, then you must make change. And that means first of all changing yourself–changing what you do and what you think and even how you think. Look at the man in the mirror. Leadership begins at home.
In closing, I suggest that you listen to “Wake up Everybody” performed by Harold Melvin and the Blue notes featuring Teddy Pendergrass here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-TDfPgd3Kyc And I suggest that you read the lyrics here:
Wake up everybody no more sleepin’ in bed
No more backward thinkin’ time for thinkin’ ahead
The world has changed so very much
From what it used to be
There is so much hatred war and poverty
Wake up all the teachers time to teach a new way
Maybe then they’ll listen to whatcha have to say
‘Cause they’re the ones who’s coming up
And the world is in their hands
When you teach the children
Teach em the very best you can.
The world won’t get no better
If we just let it be
The world won’t get no better
We gotta change it yeah
Just you and me
Wake up all the doctors make the old’ people well
They’re the ones who suffer an’ who catch all the hell
But they don’t have so very long before the Judgement Day
So won’tcha make them happy before they pass away
Wake up all the builders time to build a new land
I know we can do it if we all lend a hand
The only thing we have to do is put it in our mind
Surely things will work out
They do it every time
The world won’t get no better
If we just let it be
The world won’t get no better
We gotta change it, yeah
Just you and me
It can be super depressing when you realize you’re now making your dreams come true or you in a point in your life where it’s too late to make a change and your’re stuck in your regular cycle or judging bearing getting by. I feel like all of us are going thru this from time to time
^word!!!!!
Wait. Why is it depressing making your dream come true?
