a friend of mine gifted me something out of nowhere the other day.
just randomly and it had me confused.
i definitely appreciated that blessing because i needed it.
so he said:

“Remember when I was broke and you paid something off for me for a year?”

…uh,
no.
i def didn’t remember.
when i do things for people,
i do it and move on with my life.

“See,
you don’t remember because you are a good person.”

so i thought to myself…

yes.

i like this new song from jlo,
“can’t get enough“.
i listened to it on repeat yesterday because in that moment,
it was something that made me happy.
i choose to overindulge in anything that makes me happy.
message?
the beat sounded really good in my headphones too.
i don’t know but i was into it.
i watched the video and i found myself annoyed with jlo…

when i’m going through something heavy,
like i have been for the last weeks and plenty of change,
i’m usually scrolling to find a message.
a message in my time of need when i’m feeling despair.
it could be a church sermon or some random pineapple on IG.
yesterday,
as i was sitting in a bath,
God spoke to me with the message i “be” looking for.
someone else needed to hear this…

we don’t talk or font about workplace bullying enough for me.
there is no reason that we go to work to make a living,
but end up battling demons between 9 to 5 or 8 to 9.
the following story really saddened me.
it involves the late,
dr. antionette “bonnie” candia-bailey.
she worked at lincoln university of missouri as the vp of student affairs.
she ended up taking her own life over the alleged daily bullying from this demon…

back in 89,
madonna had everyone losing their minds with the “like a prayer” video.
she was burning crosses,
kissing a black saint in a church,
and talking about giving head to Jesus in the song.

she was nearly cancelled for that video.
it was so bad,
she had the pope trying to send his goons for her.
madonna has made an iconic career off being controversial.
it has worked for her up until now:

i don’t know what this is.
many pop stars try to be as controversial as madonna.
madonna was/is an unapologetic bitch.
they all want to push the envelope but pull back when it gets too hot.
it seems lil nas x is trying to be the madonna of gen z.
he surely doesn’t give a damn.

he is taking on the role as Jesus in “J Christ“…
