ever since the pandemic,
everyone has been wfh since last year.
when it first started,
everyone was panicking about how they would do it.
as the months went on,
it was like riding a bike.
the zoom calls are outta control,
but many folks i know are happy.
many ceos are not happy and want workers back in their cubicle prisons.

today was a long day.
i’m so tired and low on energy.
one co worker decided to call out.
another left early in the afternoon.
it was just me,
one other coworker,
and a deadline.
when i say i was legit tite?
i didn’t see the new mailroom wolf at all today.
besides all that,
i had a bigger hunt going on.

i guess it does pay to be nice.
as much as i complain about being “too nice”,
it’s only when i realize i gave my niceness to the wrong animals.
i learned that at my job today.
the day went one direction and ended up someplace else.
a good “someplace else”.
so my boss called us all for a meeting in the morning…

so i’ll admit,
i was waiting to see how the story developed.
