  1. I’m not gonna post a long piece on anything but Ive read a few of these posts and I’m glad folks are not on this bullshit train.

Anyone that believes racism is dying is clearly a fool. As long as there are Blacks in America it will be here.

People are moving forward because they have no choice but to. Some are vocal about it but it’s the same as it’s always been.

Internet just allows people to be more vocal about.it.p

  2. I think his sentiment is very optimistic but naive. racism in a lot of ways has become acceptable in ways it wasn’t for a long time. People feel much more comfortable letting their bigotry out. I think we are simotaneously moving forward and backwards. There is this constant push pull in this country, and the winning changes depending on the state you live in.

  3. He wanted you all to look beyond his body to see that he is deep and has a brain.
Not fooling me. Now back to what he is known for I need him to slim down not liking the new weight.

    1. If HE likes his new weight, should he STILL slim down because YOU don’t like it???? Asking for a friend. 🙂

  4. Omg lol Eye roll what a baseless and ridiculous statement considering our current social climate and he being part of an industry that perpetuate stereotypes and tropes about POC particularly Black folks. One has to wonder if there is a motive behind his statement.

  5. On one hand as words of inspiration, I can appreciate Mechad Brooks but unfortunately Mr. Brooks comments and in fact, Mr. Brooks himself are very problematic.
Racism is dying I believe is a lie that has been passed down to the younger generations as a coping mechanism. If you want to have a philosophical argument an idea or ideology can never truly die, but beyond that we need to dispel this belief that racism and the racist who act it out are these 70 and 80-year-old retirees with one foot in the grave, the reality is that a lot of the people in these neo-Nazi /white supremacist/ white nationalist organizations are between the ages of 15 – 45 years old, that’s right now and the foreseeable future.

I think there are some hard realities that the generation ( our parents’ generation) that was born between the 1950s to 1970s who inherited the gains of the civil rights movement failed to continue pushing forward, they failed to secure enforcement of the laws, they failed to continue to push a black agenda , they failed at politics and generation x and millennials have to deal with the consequences of that. Our generation, for the most part, has no direct link to the civil rights movement, nothing to really draw inspiration from other than the books and news articles left behind. Think about it, Martin Luther King Jr would be 90 years old today, Malcolm X (94), Rosa Parks (106), James Baldwin (95), Muhammed Ali (77), Richard Wright (111), Huey P. Newton (77), Jessie Jackson 78, John Lewis 79. Aside from Barack Obama you don’t see anyone in there 40’s, 50’s, or 60’s who had an impact on race or is driving the conversation forward in the manner as the previously mentioned legends. The consequence is you have generation x and millennials out here without the tools and the language to even have the fight, so the only thing we can do is develop new tools and language to have this fight or run away from blackness.

You can tell the difference between someone who is running towards blackness and someone who is running away from blackness, and unfortunately, Mechad Brooks seems like he’s been running away for a long time. Mr. Brooks father is a former NFL player who probably wanted the best for his kids but when I glanced at his twitter or IG I don’t see many black faces and we can see from his current and previous girlfriends that he doesn’t date black and whether people like it or not that does say a lot about you. Who you choose to date and procreate with, how you want your kids to look, they all give insight into the inner workings of your mind and how you view yourself and when I see a lot of interracial relationships I see a lot of black men trying to run away from who and what they are. So, it becomes interesting when these black men have to answer questions about race, and they seem to give a very timid response. See when you are in these types of relationships it seems as though the men get neutered instead of having the fire in their bellies, its got to be hard calling out racial strife and microaggression when you are coming home to someone who may be sympathetic to those microaggressions.

  6. Yes, Psychonegrosis (psychological weakness and dysfunction) is the largest problems faced by black / African people at home and abroad. In fact, it is likely Psychonegrosis to deny the existence of Psychnegrosis. Don’t believe me? Listen to the African Union’s ambassador to the United States, starting at about 10:45 and 18:00 here: https://youtu.be/gz-c8y0LhKA

  7. With his statement, could he tell me why employers are still being racist with hiring different races of people and when they do, the numbers are low. Also, what about the continued racial profiling and arrests pertaining to certain races of people. I could on and on about the numerous cases of racism in this country. People have just gotten better with hiding it.

    1. unfortunately, racism is very much alive and well. way more than people think. It’s horrible and it’s EVERYWHERE. Constantly.

  8. I’m going to say this it is not dying and if you believe that then innocent black men dying by cops disagree! I am here for blacks uniting and fighting back like my ancestors Black Panther! H

  9. Poor Negro I want him to tell that to Matin Luther King and all the others that died so that he could talk bullshit like that.

Amazing how some of our people are so drenched with Babylon’s koolaid they don’t even see that their own liberties are under control of Babylon. He thinks that fucking white bitches is the new black. Negro, Babylon has been fucking black people since the boat landed on Plymouth Rock. So frankly his statement only shows that we lost yet another black man to the abyss.

500 years of brainwashing and this Negro is still clueless of the DAILY struggles our people face by the System Babylon has set in place to dominate and manipulate as this is HiS country… SMFH

  10. Bullshit!! Racism isn’t dying, it’s amplified even more every since that nutcase was put into office. That’s just his personal belief which I respect, he’s one of those who love to play in the snow totally whitewashed.

  11. I rolled my eyes when I read the title. But after reading the tweet, I understand what he’s trying to say. I think it may have gotten lost in translation for a lot of people.

      1. I think the point he was trying to make was; despite the craziness that we see in the news and the loud voices of the bigots, society as a whole is moving forward. Things that were once taboo are now becoming the norm. The people that don’t want progress sees this shift and they don’t want things to change. They see the old way of life coming to an end, so they’re doing everything they can to stop it. But change is inevitable…. As least that’s what I got from it

    1. I get it too.

Hospice working and family member have witness patients and family members have a burst of energy and lucidity short be there life ends.

I think that is the analogy that Mechad was for no for
