I’m not even gonna hold you but I wasn’t a fan of the “The Lion King 2019” remake.
Bey was an African lioness with a southern accent.
I was so confused what was happening.
“Lions attack” lives rent free in my head.

as millennials,
we are starting to see some of our fav. movies as kids getting remade.
some have been pretty good; others have been,
well,
the 2019 version of the lion king.
the soundtrack was really good tho.
i don’t why they aren’t dusting off past flops from our childhoods and remaking them.
maybe…

We lived in an era where we didn’t have that much flops?

eh.
so the prequel to 2019 version is on the way.
it’s called mufusa: the lion king and the teaser trailer was just introduced…

tyler perry just dropped a trailer for a new movie with trevante and kelly rowland.
it’s called “mea culpa” and it comes out feb 23rd on netflix.
Foxhole…

so last night,
i found myself on tubi.
don’t even sleep cause tubi has some real shenanigans on it.
i feel tubi is the equivalent to the bootleg spot in the hood.
it was the place where you could pay your phone bill,
buy a bootleg CD or movie,
and have them put a ringtone on your phone.
tubi has a lot of big-budget movies but not even gonna hold you…

They have some good hood movies if you go down that rabbit hole

plus,
some of their shows/movies have some wild sex scenes.
i saw a tubi original movie called “forever us“,
which stars oshea russell from “all the queen’s men“,
and…

did The Foxhole go see The Color Purple 2023 yet?
will ya’ll be mad at me if I fonted that I haven’t?
that is the type of movie I’d see when it hits streaming.
unless I was going with my manz,
or even a group of friends,
that is the kind of movie i’d want to watch with cozy vibes.
with my manz.
i don’t remember there being gay stuff in the original movie.
according to boosie,
he straight up walked out of the gay narratives in this 2023 version…

i didn’t get a chance to see the little mermaid when it was in theaters.
i really wanted to support halle bailey but my money was crazy funny.
the little mermaid was one of my favorite disney movies as a kid.
i didn’t realize how much ariel was a pick-me but ya know…

every time we went to the beach as a kid,
i remember telling my mother how i wanted to be a merman.
i watched it and i had a few thoughts (spoilers)…

during my time offline for my birthday,
i decided to watch a movie called “the whale” starring brendan fraser.
in the movie,
he played said whale.
no seriously,
he was pretty large.

the movie touches on truth,
addiction,
and forgiveness.
even with how cruel some of the people were to charlie (brendan fraser),
he still tried to show love and see the positive within their disgust/hatred.
from the start,
middle,
and end,
i was bawling in all kinds of ugly.
ever so often,
a movie comes along during a time i need to watch it.
“the whale” was it for me and i thought to myself…
