In British Vogue’s cover interview with the queen B, editor-in-chief Edward Enninful became one of the very first people to experience the new album, describing “soaring vocals and fierce beats” that transported him “back to the clubs of his youth” in the late ’80s and ’90s. The accompanying shoot represented a sort of club-kid fantasia, referencing the ’70s (the cover is a nod to Bianca Jagger’s much-imitated Studio 54 arrival on horseback), plus the “1990s garage scene [and] ’80s excess.” Expect parallel notes of “retro-futurism” in “music that will unite so many on the dance floor, music that touches your soul.”

  1. I need some vocals! I would love if Kelly Rowland was a guest on the album since Kelly does dance music and she does it well. Hell throw Michelle in the mix too on Church Girl 🤣 I’m excited and I hope she delivers. I would love if she sampled Throb by Janet and sang on that bitch.

  3. I’m predicting people calling the album mid because it’s a departure from what they’re used to.

  4. Beyonce is often the LAST person I want to root for, but if she provides some strong lyrics and danceable (in the house music sense) grooves she might have me this time. As long as there is no “Apes…t” stuff, we might be okay. I, too, am intrigued by the song titles and have my fingers crossed for good samples but NO rapper features unless its Doja…
