everyone went crazy over jesse williams pipe leakage yesterday.
people that didn’t even know him are in springtime heat.
according to his reaction to all the fanfare over his meat per cnn:
“It’s a body, once you see it, you realize it’s whatever, it’s a boy!” Jesse said on the “Watch What Happens Live After Show.” “I just have to make it not that big of a deal.”
when the body is packing a meat cannon like he is,
it’s pretty hard to ignore.
even though everyone is cheering on whoever leaked his foot-long,
actor’s equity is blasting whoever snuck the camera in.
“We condemn in the strongest possible terms the creation and distribution of photographs and videos of our members during a nude scene,” said Kate Shindle, president of Actors’ Equity Association. “As actors, we regularly agree to be vulnerable onstage in order to tell difficult and challenging stories. This does not mean that we agree to have those vulnerable moments widely shared by anyone who feels like sneaking a recording device into the theater. Whoever did this knew not only that they were filming actors without their consent, but also that they were explicitly violating the theater’s prohibition on recording and distribution.
“At every performance, there is a mutual understanding between the audience and the performers that we are sharing an experience limited to this time and place; that trust makes it possible for us to be exposed both emotionally and physically,” Shindle added. “Trampling on this agreement by capturing and distributing these photographs and videos is both sexual harassment and an appalling breach of consent. It is a violation that impedes our collective ability to tell stories with boldness and bravery.”
i see where they are coming from but look at the bright side.
since this leakage:
This play is the hottest ticket in town
controversy sells puts butts in seats.
this has legit revitalized jesse’s brand.
no one was really fuckin’ with him after he and his ex-wife’s drama.
all it took was for his big sausage to knock folk’s memories out.
as bad as it is,
it’s still a win for the production.
ya’ll won’t be recording another shot of jesse again tho.
per ( x the new york times ):
The nonprofit theater presenting a starry Broadway revival of “Take Me Out” installed a new infrared camera on Wednesday to help its security team spot surreptitious camera usage by audience members after a video of a nude scene featuring the actor Jesse Williams circulated online.
that little preview was enough to sell us to go.
i hear the play is really good too.
i’m sure ya’ll will let me know what your thoughts are when you see it.
do not get yourself arrested trying to record it tho.
