Nelly has been arrested for allegedly raping a woman … TMZ has learned.
Law enforcement sources tell us, a woman claims she was raped on the rapper’s tour bus in Washington, where he’s been performing. Nelly is on a tour with Florida Georgia Line and they are set to perform Saturday night in Ridgefield, Washington.
We’re told the alleged rape occurred Saturday morning at around 3:45 AM. We’re told she specifically said Nelly is the one who raped her.
Nelly was booked on second degree rape charges Saturday morning at around 7 AM.

9:25 AM PT — Nelly’s lawyer tells TMZ, “Nelly is the victim of a completely fabricated allegation. Our initial investigation, clearly establishes the allegation is devoid of credibility and is motivated by greed and vindictiveness. I am confident, once the scurrilous accusation is thoroughly investigated, there will be no charges. Nelly is prepared to pursue all all legal avenues to redress any damage caused by this clearly false allegation.”

he has had a number of alleged run ins with the law.
he can’t seem to get his shit together.
why ruin what little career he has with an alleged rape scandal?

Interesting that the comments here are already on nelly’s side. “Nothing about nelly seems like a rapist to me” what’s does that mean?
Also we have a lot of commenters saying innocent til proven guilty and then trashing this girl. Why give more credence to nelly’s side of the story than the alleged victim.
Remember it’s more costly for a rape victim to come foreword than for the perpetrator. The victims get trashed and their reputations sullied with no guarantee they will ever get justice, while the alleged rapist gets the presumption of innocence til proven guilty and the public’ s sympathy.
We as a society tend to persecute people before we even know the facts of any given situation. Not saying he did or didn’t do it, but we should at least save judgement until he’s been formally charged and convicted. But, in our world, and in the words of Charlemagne, nobody cares about the truth if the lie is more entertaining.
This whole story sounds completely fabricated and run in w/ the law? He’s only had two known encounters w/ law enforcement and that was a member of his entourage having non weed related drugs and this..
I couldn’t think of any other “run ins w/the law” but the two u just described. He hasn’t been a rapper who was in trouble a lot

To be honest I was more surprised he is on tour with a Country duo(Florida Georgia Line) then the rape accusation.I had no idea he did a song with them until today.BTW it’s just an accusation.He is innocent until proven guilty of rape but I wouldn’t be surprised if he had sexual contact with this woman.Time and Time again these men think with their little head 🍆.Why is this woman(probably a stranger) even on your tour bus when you are in a relationship?

And I don’t think it’s accurate to say he has a little career. He has enough of a legacy to tour. Viability as a musician is about more than relevance but also what you are able to build for oneself.
