“baby lets go out tonight…
i want to try something new.”
so as you can tell,
by this disrespectful heat,
that summer is officially here.
that also means we’ll all be outside and traveling a lot more.
here are three must have apps you need to download,
ones a fox loves…
when you turn on your location,
it tells you whats nearby.
hell yelp was my go to when i was down in florida last year.
what i like about yelp is the reviews.
i am one to review something before i go anywhere.
i want to know service and quality.
yelp is the best place to read trusted reviews from real humans.
you can even leave a review as well.
i remember i ate at a restaurant in the city a year or two ago.
i loved the food and service so much that i left a review.
well why come the manager sent me an email with a coupon for my next meal?
i know people who have left bad reviews and the manager contacted them immediately.
one even got a waiter fired for bad behaviour.
not that i condone that,
but why come to work if you plan on giving shitty service?
i also love that you can set up a profile and add friends.
you can also add your favorite places as well as bookmark places you want to eat.
con about yelp: turning location on your phone can kill your battery.
this is why i turn it on and turn it off with the quickness.
yelp online if you can before you head out.
JAMARI FOX DON’T WAIT
i don’t do “lines and waiting”.
call me bougie if you want
i call it “get me in so i get turnt up”.
this is where open table comes in.
open table is an app that allows you to reserve a table at a restaurant in advance.
ive gone to restaurants within the city and they talmbout “an hour to hour 1/2 wait”.
needless to say,
i didn’t eat there.
when i found out about open table,
i tried it on a last minute restaurant i was going to that night.
i reserved that table that afternoon and #pow!
me and my people was in ahead of everyone else waiting.
i also had to reserve a table at a restaurant for my old boss.
needless to say she is hooked.
its no charge to reserve a table or cancel.
that’s always a plus.
con about open table: it doesn’t have a lot of restaurants,
but it does have some good places to try.
so you’re going to a restaurant and you want to know whats on the menu?
better yet the price so you can cancel in advance?
my advice is to hit up menu pages.
menu pages is basically what it says.
it shows you the menu of various restaurants ,
or if on your phone,
ones that are close to you.
it also gives you a list of restaurant by cuisine,
i use it all the time so i’ll know what to expect.
also how much their dranks cost.
a fox needs to know where the bar tab stops.
…and there you have it.
all these apps work well together if used effectively.
i’ll leave that for the “professionalzzz” tho.
