foxhole,
i have been fighting this sickness.
yesterday,
i had no energy to do anything.
all i did was sleep and binge watch a show.
my body literally was putting me on time out.
you may/may not have been like me,
but this flu season has been hell.
it’s so bad,
they have been ( x shutting down schools ).
according to “bloomberg” tho,
50,000 of us will die this season…
Children returning to school after the winter holidays appear to be sharing more than just their new toys. They are driving influenza infections to levels not seen since the swine flu pandemic of 2009, public health officials said. By the time this flu season is over, experts said, more than 50,000 Americans will be dead.
There are several unique, worrisome aspects to this season’s outbreak: It’s hitting everywhere at once; it’s continuing rather than peaking quickly; and it’s affecting a broader range of older Americans than in the past. The entire continental U.S. reported widespread flu every week for the past three weeks, Jernigan said.
“We often see different parts of the country light up at different times, but for the past three weeks the entire country has been experiencing lots of flu, all at the same time,” he said, adding: “We have several weeks to go.”
The season is shaping up to be similar to the epidemic of late 2014 and early 2015, which entailed 710,000 hospitalizations and 56,000 deaths, according to the CDC. The agency is expecting similar numbers this year, Jernigan said.
Activity levels vary in different states, however. Hospitalizations in California are running at four times the level seen in 2014 and 2015, while Minnesota’s rate is double. In New York, the numbers are starting to surpass the national average.
literally:
i mean,
this could be all to scare us,
but i’ve seen this flu take folks down one by one.
not in death,
but out of work for a week.
i can’t afford that right about now.
i’ve been doing my usual,
but added a few more things:
boost up vitamin c
take “mega men” gnc multivitamins
echincea tea with lemon
spray lysol in the air and on my bed
wipe my phone down with “lysol disinfectant wipes”
wash/purell after touching anything in public
sleep
vicks on my chest
heavy clothes; sweat it out
it seems to be working.
*knock on wood*
i’m not feeling as bad as i was a few days ago.
my bawdy was working overtime trying not to get sick.
i will say it’s taking longer for me to lose it,
which explains why i’m so tired.
be careful out here foxhole.
this flu ain’t a game.

Jamari, try adding fresh ginger into your teas, tumeric powder, and maybe even black seed oil. If you live in Harlem any Muslim store south of 125th should have it. Keep your fluids up with lots of water.
Also, be sure to stay away from inflammatory things like dairy and excess processed sugars. That helps the sickness. I’ve taken all of this and it’s helped and I’ve even been given antibiotics, to no avail. I have been sick since before Thanksgiving. Just do your best to stay safe out here esp. on the subway.
^thanks for this advice.
i legit cringe on the train.
i don’t even like touching the rails.
hell sitting down!!!
you dont know where the bums sat these days
