let me throw this filter on my real life so ya’ll don’t know what is really going on

EXAMPLE 1:

my friend’s wife’s sister.
always posting how much she loves her husband.
she puts up the lovey dove pics all over social media.
when she talks to her sister,
she tells her how much she HATES him.
she can’t stand him but social media tells a different story.

EXAMPLE 2:

sexy personal training wolf.
he updates his IG and shows how hard he goes in the gym.
not only that,
he puts up pictures of how much of a life he has.
on another account,
it shows he hasn’t been in the gym since last year.
all the videos and pictures are old.
he actually is depressed af and is smoking his brains out.

EXAMPLE 3:

my home wolf and his vixen.
in pictures,
they look so into each other.
you’d think they were the perfect couple but they’re constantly fighting and abusive to each other.
she puts paws on him and he does the same.
he has cheated on her and she took him back.
she doesn’t trust him,
he is annoyed by her,
but they both don’t want to be alone.

EXAMPLE 4:

the “straight” wolf on social media living his best life.
he has all of these luxuries and is always traveling.
you’d think he had a business that was poppin’ in the background.
nope.
he is an escort and has no issue spreading his butt cheeks or giving the “gawk gawk 3000”.
he posts a lot of memes about working hard and achieving success,
but he uses his bawdy to live the life that he lives.
his girlfriend is also a prop to throw folks off his scent.

these are 4 of the many examples of how deceptive social media can be.
it made me wonder

Are you still shocked that people alter their realities on social media?

often times i ponder if i do the right thing being open about my struggles on the foxhole and social media.
folks seem to like being lost in other people’s fantasy worlds.
i feel like i’m one of the few platforms whose very honest about his moods,
failures,
pains,
and fuck ups.
while i believe that its okay to show the good and bad of your life,
some of us only like to see the good and “perfect”.
maybe it makes us feel inspired we can be good too?
the reality is that in real life,
we don’t have the luxury of throwing filters on the truth.
unless we plan on living behind our phones forever,
people who know the real tea and will have no issue exposing it.

don’t have someone(s) tell your real story before you do.

  1. You’re doing it the right way, Jamari. You don’t front and keep it real and your supporters appreciate it. Thank you for being you.

  2. I appreciate your transparency, we already have enough fakeness in the world. Authenticity and realness helped the careers of countless Black personalities and celebs: MJB, DMX, Jill Scott, Cardi B, and so forth. Walk in your Light

      1. I think cardi used to be authentic now I think she’s just angry because people don’t take her accomplishments seriously.

But I agree with everyone else mentioned

And see this is why I don’t brag bc any of these materials can be taken from us as seen through the pandemic, even life, itself, isn’t guaranteed. I used to be into a guy who tried to play the “I’m humble” role and he would humbly be bragging .. to me, posting pics in the clubs and on vacays all throughout the pandemic is a bit dtm (do too much), because subconsciously it sends the message “what pandemic? I still blow money like it’s nothing, hustle harder” and these LLC twitter people are the worst bc half of them either scam through PPP loans or live at home with their parents so any income they’ve received has been spent on bullshit
