i hope the kind folks on the internet keep dragging justin timberlake.
not even for his horrid performance at the superbowl,
but his questionable character.
page six just released some alleged info about the prince hologram.
the one that could have been a “maybe”….
Justin Timberlake was “100 percent ready to use the hologram” for his Prince tribute during his Super Bowl halftime show performance on Sunday, sources say — but backed out at the last minute.
“He was 100 percent ready to use the hologram but nixed it due to backlash from social media and Prince fans. That’s why he had that sheet up like in your mama’s backyard,” sniped one insider.
Prince’s longtime pal Sheila E. had tweeted that Timberlake was not going to use a hologram after they spoke on Saturday. “Family, I spoke w/Justin 2nite and he shared heartfelt words of respect for Prince & the Purple fans . . . There is no hologram.”
But in an interview with “Entertainment Tonight,” she also hinted that she had nixed the hologram idea personally. “I just said no. I just felt that it was too soon,” she told ET. “The hologram was weird, and Prince did tell me [to] make sure nobody ever does a hologram [of him] . . . He thought it was very demonic and that’s his spiritual beliefs.”
Prince fans were also upset about Timberlake hosting his “Man of the Woods” album listening party at the late icon’s Paisley Park and allowing alcohol to be served, but the source told us he had previously gotten the Prince estate’s blessing.
Timberlake’s rep didn’t comment.
the old “leak our own tea and see how the public reacts” trick.
you’ll be surprised many celebs do that.
“sources” are usually someone on their team.
it’s one of the oldest tricks in the pr book.
if it trends,
pr and the audience create the narrative.
i have no doubt justin was going against the grain tho.
that’s pretty much who he is.
i shouldn’t be shocked.
a pet peeve of mine tho.
when folks die and those who were their closest “forget”.
prince’s estate should know better.
sheila e should know better.
like they should know how prince was.
i love how everyone forgets justin allegedly dissed prince.
oh well,
his performance ended up sucking and showed how basic he is.
lowkey: i guess this is the importance in having a will in place.

If I’m not mistaken his estate is controlled by members of his family, no?… and if so, I’m sure there was more than enough funds to maintain PP and everything else needed to maintain his legacy. The problem arises when those same family members get greedy and want more n more of sumn they didn’t have any interest in creating. This estate is holding an auction to sell off his prized and quite frankly INVALUABLE possessions…why?…Why are these items not being kept sacred in PP which should be like a freakin museum for fans for years to come (with a ban list for anyone who he wasn’t feeling – like JT)?…I’ve said it more than once and I’ll say it again, his fam is not doing his legacy any justice and are pilfering and capitalizing on this man and his undeniable genius.
Secondly, vis à vis JT’s performance, most people aren’t really trippin’ over the fact he paid tribute to the icon; any artist would’ve been expected to do so in his hometown…The issue people have is that HE IS NOT WOOORTHY to hold any event at his famed estate…ESP someone who’s on record for saying some slick shit about him, then following it up with a ridic “diss track”…and again, I blame his fam (proxy estate) for this.
So I think the outrage is somewhat misdirected. We all know JT will try and quench his thirst any way he can, but his fam should know better and act according to what they think their beloved would’ve agreed to had he left a will…and they’re not.
Oh, and someone else who should’ve known betta was the designer of JT’s hideous attire…’Stella…come on STELLA!”
Prince’s estate is not controlled by his family. His estate is controlled by CoAmerica Bank. They are overseeing his estate and getting it in order for future profits. Prince’s six siblings was just declared by the judge heirs of his estate just last year. Which took over a year to determine. Being a heir is totally different than controlling his estate. Also they HAVE NOT received any profits from his estate. That could take YEARS!
Paisley Park was turned into a Museum to help earn profits for a tax debt that was due since Prince didn’t leave a Will. Which is why CoAmerica is overseeing his estate and is the deciding factor on anything concerning it. That event that JT held at Paisley Park was approved by the estate and determined by profit.
The estate IS NOT holding any auctions to sell off Prince’s valuable possessions. The majority of his wardrobe, musical instruments and artifacts are on display at Paisley Park and at a temporary exhibit in London’s 02 Arena for his fans to view. Now the estate did start selling off Prince’s MASSIVE real estate holdings. To collect earnings to satisfy a tax debt which I described above. I don’t know where your getting your info from. But you’re are completely wrong and misinformed.
Fucking Judas!
I don’t understand what U mean by Prince’s estate should know better & Sheila E should know better?!
I am one of if not the biggest Prince fan. The estate applied for a liquor license a few months ago. Justin didn’t have anything to do with that. The estate is trying to bring in as much money as possible to keep Paisley Park running for its weekly tours. Even though Prince didn’t allow liquor in his home Paisley Park. A lot has changed there since his passing to make it a more public friendly place.
I also felt the Prince tribute Justin did was very honorable and respectable. Only because he performed in Prince’s hometown. If he didn’t do anything it would have been just as much criticism.
Luckily for him he didn’t go through with the hologram. But still pulled off a respectable tribute.
I’m not letting Justin off the hook though. I feel karma is catching up to him on what he did to Janet. Also” NOONE has forgotten Justin dissed Prince”.
The disrespectful things he said about Prince has been still documented on Prince fan sites and major media.
As far as him having his listening party at Paisley Park. That definitely wouldn’t have happened if Prince was alive. But again Prince’s estate is all about the money now.
R.I.P. my musical idol Prince
Justin dissed Prince on more than One occasion.
