Whitney_Houston-Whitney-Frontali personally think ^this album from whitney houston is her best.
i listened to it for the first time like a year ago and was blown away.
every song on her second album sounds good.
no skippables.
so as you know,
angela bassett is directing the whitney houston biopic for lifetime.
they casted “america’s next top model”,
and most lowkey successful,
yaya dacosta to play the legend.
extremely big heels to fill.
well the first image from the movie was released.
it happened to be yaya recreating whitney’s “whitney” cover and well…

i will say yaya looks beautiful.

now onto me saying something…
i feel like something is off about the picture.
i know its not going to be absolutely perfect,
but something isn’t connecting with the original.
just my opinion tho.
yaya is a good actress from what ive seen of her.
lets hope she brings justice to the role.

lowkey: am i the only one waiting for the chris brown biopic?
i feel that movie will be absolutely amazing.
i just pray i’m still alive when they make it.

  2. I think the problem is the wig (and maybe that she looks kinda old compared to the album cover). They most likely found that in the bargain bin in some hood beauty supply store.

  3. Some things should be left alone and this is one of them. Whitney is such a Icon and when she was on top of her game no one could even come close to touching her. This picture looks awful and I guess I am just a die hard fan. Im not feeling this girl at all, she is no wear near as pretty and looks nothing even close to Whitney. Yes I am feeling some type of way about this. Whitney deserves better than this.

  4. It’s not the best picture but I see the similarities, it’s an ok start I’ll hold usage menu until the trailer drops. I have faith in yaya and Angela.

  6. To me this girl isn’t as pretty as Whitney was. Whitney looked so young and fresh on the cover. This girl looks old to me. Anyway, glad to hear Angela Bassett is directing.
