i wrote something earlier today.
“mister available”.
i was frustrated with how wolves were treating me.
i was going to let me he(bitch) raise hell.
well instead of it making me bitter,
i wanted to be better.
i was talking to one of the foxholers last night about this same issue.
“how i go from 0 to 1000 with the goal of your head on the floor”.
i was taking a nice warm bath earlier,
compliments of dr bronners “peppermint” liquid soap,
and something else washed over me.

i was wrong.
i was in a funk.
i wrote something earlier that i had to really think about fully.
choosing to die?
 not staying and fighting?
have i come to this?

some of my greatest victories are because i fought.
it wasn’t because i gave up.
i don’t give up.
i don’t run away.
i confront things head on.
no amount of funk should ever make me even think that thought.
as i sat at the park today,

today’s service at td jakes church was a good one.
something was said this morning that got all in me.
well it was his cub,
jermaine,
who actually said it during service.
first lady of the potter’s house,
serita jakes,
celebrated her birthday today.
she turned 60 years old.
most of her cubs had something to share,
but what her son said stuck with me…
