when you feel green but others see you as pink

so i watched the “wicked for good” trailer and bawled.

the young me,
that frowned every time karaoke played the broadway soundtrack for the original “wicked”,
would judged at the current me.
tbh:

i hate i didn’t get into wicked sooner.

back then,
i was so concerned with fitting into spaces that never welcomed me,
i really missed a story that reflected my life back to me.

it’s funny how the things we react when we are ashamed of ourselves,
eventually come back to heal or teach us a lesson.

when i watched the first “wicked” movie last year,
i didn’t expect to relate to “the green one” so deeply…

the wicked games the glindas play

Have you ever noticed how the truth can get buried under a really good performance by someone who is seen as “good”?

i can’t font you how many “glinda the good witches” i’ve met in my time on this forest.
the ones who sparkle with kindness and virtue because of wealth or popularity.
if we’re being 110%,
they were all “glinda the good bitches” because eventually,
it’s almost theatrical how their exposure is.

Unfortunately for you,
you don’t get the luxury of an apology from the munchkins who listened.

You just end up all wet.
