so i’m listening to my spotify “discover lately” just now.
it picks songs that are chosen for me.
i guess based on what i listen to a lot.
this one song came on while i was ironing my clothes for work.
as i was listening to the lyrics,
i stopped and started to BAWL.
omg…
check the song out…
“You brought the flames and you put me through hell
I had to learn how to fight for myself
And we both know all the truth I could tell
I’ll just say this is I wish you farewell
I hope you’re somewhere prayin’, prayin’
I hope your soul is changin’, changin’
I hope you find your peace
Falling on your knees, prayin’“
i never really got into kesha,
but WOW.
i was shocked to see she was singing it.
this is a powerful ass song.
i felt her singing.
it shook me.
the reaction videos were sad too:

i guess we all needed that cry.
i feel like i released a thousand emotions today.
shit.
lowkey: this sums it up…
Wow…….just wow……the video threw me at the beginning, but the last 60 seconds or so with the high note too!!!!!!! My GOD!!!!! I’m a Sunday School going, been in the church hour since I was there, leaving the club by 5 so I can be ready to direct the choir at the campus chapel while I was in college, Praise Team, Church Boy, and Kesha just touched my soul….no lie. RJ, said it. This was authentic. You can’t fake that kind of raw emotion.
I’m telling my age, but I get a strange Madonna “Like A Prayer” vibe from this….
I listened to it and im really proud of where kesha is right now. I’ve always been a fan of her work but this new album feels like her authentic self.
I’m going to have to give it a listen, I could use a good cry right now
I told you her album is actually quite good.
^your music tastes is spot on.
ima check out her album during my work commute tomorrow.
i wasn’t into kesha,
but im turning into her avenue now.
