A jury has acquitted George Zimmerman, but we are not done demanding justice for Trayvon. Sign our petition to the Department of Justice today.

The Department of Justice has closely monitored the State of Florida’s prosecution of the case against George Zimmerman in the Trayvon Martin murder since it began. Today, with the acquittal of George Zimmerman, it is time for the Department of Justice to act.
The most fundamental of civil rights — the right to life — was violated the night George Zimmerman stalked and then took the life of Trayvon Martin. We ask that the Department of Justice file civil rights charges against Mr. Zimmerman for this egregious violation.
Please address the travesties of the tragic death of Trayvon Martin by acting today.

I don’t know why you all sitting up here doing all this campaigning. Will something be done? Nope. African Americans are so enslaved still that this is just going to be another warning for people to do something and it falls on death ears and hype. So all this marching could as well end. George Zimmerman is going to go into hiding, look will be changed, and he will be never heard from
again. Once African Americans realize their is a method to the madness, things will change.
You cannot be a cynic all of your life. It has to start somewhere.
Thanks for doing all these posts Jamari. It’s important that we ALL get involved in the fight. We can have fun on here, and enjoy our community, however, the struggle continues.

Jamari, I thank you for doing this post. It is important that we don’t fall apart durimg times like this and know that we can still be involved even if it means taking only a moment of our time.
