A Trump supporter who says he was harassed by employees at a Cheesecake Factory for wearing a MAGA hat has hit back at his critics by saying ‘I love Trump, he’s what America needs’.

Eugenior Joseph, 22, said employees started hounding him while he was dining with his girlfriend’s family at the restaurant at the Dadeland Mall in Miami, Florida on Mother’s Day.

Joseph told Fox & Friends on Wednesday: ‘I love Donald Trump, he’s just what the country needs. He’s a true American. He really cares for the well being of America.’

He then added: ‘People will say what they want about him, it’s a free country. And I think Donald Trump is everything we ever need in this country.’  

The confrontation started when one female employee came over to his table, and noticed him wearing a MAGA hat, Joseph told the Daily Wire.

One witness says the employee then signaled for some of her co-workers to come over, and pointed out the hat.

‘Her finger was literally on top of his head, we were all looking at her like “what is happening?”‘ one witness told The Daily Wire. 

‘She was pointing at him, calling her other coworkers, telling them to look at this guy wearing a Make America Great Again hat.’

Witnesses say about a dozen employees gathered around the table, and started chanting for Joseph to be thrown out.

‘So then all the employees started standing there, saying things out loud, like, “I’m going to knock his head in so hard his hat’s going to come off,”‘ the witness said. 

The abuse continued even after Joseph went to the bathroom. 

‘I got up and went to the restroom, my girlfriend followed me, and as we were walking back, a group of [the employees] came out from the back and they just started clapping and yelling, and just screaming things at me,’ Joseph said. 

He says one of the employees even threatened to get into a fight with him. 

‘He got behind me and another coworker came by and they were staring at each other and he fist bumped him and then he started looking at me, balling his fists, smacking his fists, trying to scare me,’ Joseph added.

His girlfriend, Izabella Victores, wrote on Facebook about how the confrontation was especially troubling for her elderly grandmother and little sister. 

‘All of these threats and aggression were done in front of my 80-year-old grandmother and 8-year-old sister who were terrified.’

‘This was supposed to be a simple mother’s day celebration, and instead we were threatened and harassed by an entire restaurant of employees,’ she wrote. 

As the family got up to leave, they say the manager followed them out and said that  some of the employees had admitted to their actions and were sent home. 

Police officers met them outside the restaurant and made a report, but didn’t file any charges, according to multiple witnesses who spoke with the Daily Wire.  

Cheesecake Factory has since released a letter of apology and has since fired two employees.
