the other day,
my friend said to me that she doesn’t believe in God.
it threw me back a bit because i assumed she did.
in my eyes,
her life seems pretty dope.
it has it’s rocky moments but she isn’t suffering in the least.
last week,
she was blessed with over 3k that she didn’t even ask for.
she doesn’t go to church but i always assumed her faith in God was strong.
nope.
not even a little bit.

you have to look at the way people word things.
it often gives clues to those whose heads are on swivel.
our current president said on “CNBC’s squawk box” about migrant workers:
“Speaking about how his administration’s crackdown on undocumented immigration is affecting the American agricultural sector, Trump said that “in some cases, we’re sending [migrants] back to their country with a pass back in legally.”
so…
they deported them to bring them back?
wouldn’t they still be criminals?
i’m so confused but go on…

that highlighted part is what really stood out to me,
but it was “inner city” that slapped me dead in the face.

when the disappointment slipped out
over the weekend,
i linked with someone from my past.
movies but no “negro news” updates.
very “not trying to be seen” kind of vibes.
“together” and “the fantastic four“.
together was a better experience.
they came movie tickets and an apology i already healed from.
somewhere between the popcorn and a walk down memory lane,
they dropped a bomb:
the friend group we were in?
that’s done.
everything they did to me,
they eventually did to each other.
it always ends like that.,
doesn’t it?
there was another person i really f’d with tho.
“i thought”.
let’s just call them “the disappointment”
when i asked what happened to them,
one slip of the tongue changed everything…
