i think it’s in our best interest to stop seeing “the pretty” in someone.

meaning they should choose “the right thing” because of how they look.
some of us associate attractiveness with purity/common sense.

your friend can be good to you and be a complete d!ck to someone else
when we are friends with someone,
we always see the “good” in them.
we ignore the truth because we want to show loyalty.
when they get caught up in some bs,
we don’t want to believe it because they are our friends.
we think about how good they were to US.
we don’t want to imagine one of our friends could be a monster.
two things can be true at the same time.
Someone can be a friend to us
Someone can be a monster to someone else

about a year ago,
i had someone i was close to me say:

it had something to do with wearing masks and the rona.
another friend told me they miss how entertaining trump was on twitter.
i had another friend proudly say the rona wasn’t real and no one died.
something to do with it being a hoax.
what they all told me without telling me:
