He Wanted To Know If The Pre Baller Wolf Was Gay (Just Cause)

15-08-10-FB-0163would you ask this pre-baller wolf if he was gay?
some of us have a “tact” issue.
if you were alone with him in a professional setting,
would you let that question fly out ?
well everyone meet eli apple.
he is a pre-baller wolf for ohio state.
in a meeting during the 2016 nfl combine,
an atlanta falcons coach asked him what i just asked you.
straight; no chaser…

An Atlanta Falcons coach asked former Ohio State cornerback Eli Apple whether he is gay during a meeting last week at the NFL combine.

Apple described the meeting Friday during an interview with Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia, although he did not identify the coach.

“The Falcons coach, one of the coaches, was like, ‘So do you like men?'” Apple told Comcast SportsNet. “It was like the first thing he asked me. It was weird. I was just like, ‘No.’ He was like, ‘If you’re going to come to Atlanta, sometimes that’s how it is around here. You’re going to have to get used to it.’

“I guess he was joking, but they just ask most of these questions to see how you’re going to react.”

Falcons coach Dan Quinn released a statement Friday, acknowledging the incident.

“I am really disappointed in the question that was asked by one of our coaches,” Quinn said. “I have spoken to the coach that interviewed Eli Apple and explained to him how inappropriate and unprofessional this was. I have reiterated this to the entire coaching staff and I want to apologize to Eli for this even coming up. This is not what the Atlanta Falcons are about and it is not how we are going to conduct ourselves.”

An NFL spokesman said later Friday that the league would look into the incident.

“This is disappointing and clearly inappropriate as the Falcons acknowledged,” spokesman Brian McCarthy said in a statement. “We will look into it.”

tumblr_o22e87ZsFM1rveoj6o4_400 the assistant coach was trying to get some sex.
allegedly speaking and thinking.
it seems very “suspect” to ask someone that question,
especially in a professional setting as the pre-baller wolf was in.
someone might have been cruising and his senses detected something.
allegedly speaking and thinking.
did you catch the low key reveal on what may go down within the falcons?

‘If you’re going to come to Atlanta, sometimes that’s how it is around here. You’re going to have to get used to it.’

i wonder how many other pre baller wolves got asked that question?
i wonder how much others wanted to answer?
i mean we know atlanta is a ratchet gay mess,
and many go down there to “indulge” on the low,
but if my foxy senses are right:

i’ll take one trip to ( x the atlanta falcons locker room ) please

i’d like to conduct my own investigation.
thanks.

  1. Damn y’all, Atlanta ain’t that bad. LMAO!

I have NEVER been hit on by another man ever in my life. The DL scene is VERY real, but the gay men aren’t savages coming out from all over trying to get some D.

  2. Mikey Kun and any other foxhole members that stay in Atlanta or close to that area can you’ll tell me how it is from a gay man stand point living there. I have extended family that lives 20 to 30 minutes from Atlanta, and they love it there but they did say is overrated. They have met celebrities and been in restaurants when reality shows been filmed. I know it’s more jobs and cheaper living there, plus muscleheads and Atlanta Falcon players make me want to pay a visit there soon.

    1. Hey Eric I guess it depends on what’s you’re looking for here. Atlanta is definitely a black meca of sorts. If you go to areas like Midtown Buckhead you’re more than willing to run into a black celebrity or two. I would say if you’re looking for gay man check out the Piedmont Park area or anywhere around there as close to midtown ( but in all honesty that’s mostly for white gay men).

You could try Bulldogs if you’re looking for a gay black bar. I can see how you’re family sees it as being overrated here because it seems like they film every black reality show here, every black straight to Netflix DVD movie. So for us living here ion the inside looking outside it just seems like every day life but I guess if you live somewhere where you’re not around a lot of black gay men It can seem like paradise.

I think the best advice I can give you is just to come and visit and check it out for yourself. Hope that helps

  3. It is probably because there are gay players on the team, which would not surprise me being that the team is in Atlanta. Over the years, there have been a few whispers about Falcons players, especially about their star receiver, but I digress lol.

    1. “star receiver” hehe, I chuckled when I read that lol. It just works so well with what you were saying.

  4. This is actually very common, even though its against NFL policy to inquire on a player’s sexuality. Doesn’t mean the policy is always followed. This guy is just the first to report it. The coach already thinks he’s gay, he was just making sure he’s not “out”. Of course the coach trys to clean it up, so it doesnt seem like he’s discriminating. Apparently this pre baller saw through the bull and told someone.

  5. Hell the coach just could have been looking out for his best interest being it is Atlanta, he told no lies, I have personally heard about str8 female friends hating it because they do not stand a chance and they do not trust none of the dudes there LOL. I used to think that people were exaggerating about ATL but it has been so many people who say the boldness of gay dudes there is like something out of this world. You can go on any message board or hell even Twitter and ATL will have str8 dudes in their feelings about how they are treated like a piece of meat and the dudes dont give a damn about them being str8 they will hit on them anyway. It is like str8 dudes are in the minority, I guess that why you have so many str8 dudes who mix with gay dudes unlike any other city in the US, of course I am talking about my Black brothers. I have no idea how white gay ATL conducts itself.

J I think like you, the coach was trying to see what was up or this dude Jack’d was O.O miles away during his interview, and the coach was like Heyyyyyy………..

    1. So the straight guys are upset because they are being treated like a piece of meat? Fantastic! now they will see what life is like for women being sexually objectified, sexually harassed, cat called, etc.😀I wish straight men in every city could experience that, maybe they would be more respectful when interacting with women.

      1. Y Colette I swear I love how your brain thinks. Being on the outskirts of Atlanta I can’t speak too well of the boldness of the gays interacting with straight men here. ( I will say there are a ton of good looking Black men here, you can find one pretty much everywhere compared to other parts of the country) But I can attest for how straight men interact with women all over the state and city, shit really this whole country.

      2. I’m glad he spoke up and said something because it’s not something a coach should be asking. It makes me think maybe there are closeted players on the Falcons or maybe the Falcons have dealt with a closeted player trying out for the team in the past. It just seems odd for that to be the very first question you asked someone either he wanted the digits or his gay radar went off and he wanted some info.

      3. @ Y.Collete-LOL, isnt it ironic. This is probably the only city in the country, where a Black man has to prove his straightness. Yes I agree, they may actually be a little more respectful toward women there. I have been to ATL and they have some gay dudes there who just looking from the outside you would be hard pressed to tell, of course until you got them home and their legs will go up faster than a Radio City Rocket-LMAO. Dudes who look and are built like Atlanta Falcons, but after a couple of cocktails can do the full choreography to Beyonce- “Single Ladies” Let me stop 🙂

  6. It’s not the first time this was done. As bllackpegasus said, it’s par for the course in interviews with players. A lot of these guys are just so happy to have a chance to play in the NFL, they don’t pay attention to the fact that a discriminatory question was just posed to them. These teams don’t want to deal with openly gay players, and for those teams that do have “closeted” gay players (I’m sure some teammates know) they’d prefer to keep it that way.
As discriminatory as the practice is…it still happens, policy be damned.

    1. I think asking the question is pointless since if he was “interested in men”,he wouldn’t tell the coach anyway especially in that setting.

  7. According to the NFL anti discrimination policy updated in 2014.Coaches are forbidden from asking players or prospects about their sexuality. That’s why the Falcons are being investigated, they will probably be fined. That’s why this is a big deal.

  8. Even though I am a gay man, I still would be offended if someone would ask me that at a workplace because my sexuality has nothing to do with on what I am doing at work. But yea maybe you right, he’s probably sniffing for sex

    1. @Lindo

The truth is, that question gets asked a lot during those NFL scout interviews. I’m not sure why Eli Apple’s camp decided to disclose this but it may hurt his chances with the draft. As we’ve seen with Michael Sam, NFL teams really don’t want anything to do with an OUT gay player or any player who may be whoring around town creating scandals. I find the question offensive, but it’s par the course in the NFL.

      1. exactly, and having all the other dl players on the team queening out and being uncomfortable and hoping not to be outed themselves. lol I have absolutely no empathy at all for Michael Sam. He listen to that little white boy and outed himself and then faltered. As soon as he did, that white boy bounced after he realized he wasn’t gonna be the first lady of the NFL.

  9. That’s actually against the law and he’d have a hell of a lawsuit, especially given the fact I’m sure the coach knew he wasn’t supposed to ask that.

I think he was asking that because he didn’t want him getting to ATL and thotting around and it reflecting on the team.

  10. Who cares? He’s not handsome to me. He looks like a boiled egg, or a worm peeking out of a rotten apple. I’ll pass 😎

    1. @over_it

If he took those clothes off and showed that lean ripped body you’d probably see it differently.
I think he’s sexy. And I’d make him my bottom. 😛
