so i watched b-boy blues and, yeah, so…
it’s funny how we see things differently as we mature.
in my case,
i see things differently now that i’ve been in therapy.
i can see “oh you a fuckboi” these days.
I watched B-Boy Blues over the weekend.
i haven’t read the book by james earl hardy in years.
in my opinion,
i thought the movie was well cast and well-acted.
they pulled out the best of the best in terms of looks and talent.
thomas mackey,
who played raheem,
commanded all the attention on screen.
his chemistry with mitchell,
which was played by timothy richardson,
was off the charts.
i liked everything about the bts aspect of production.
let’s font about what i didn’t like.
is it me or…

SO I WATCHED THE SEASON 2 PREMIERE OF EUPHORIA, AND, WELL…
euphoria season 1 on hbo was a breakthrough show for me.
sure,
they lured me in with “this episode will have 1,000 penises” in it but they sure did deliver.
zendaya did her transition to adult serious content the right way.
i was excited to see what they would bring forth with season 2.
um…

so i watched “and just like that” and just like that, i had to give my thoughts…
The following has light spoilers.
so as you know,
i dragged the re-boot of sex and the city.
“and just like that” on hbo max was not getting my vote before i watched,
but i decided to give it a shot.
one of my friends demanded i watch it since i’m the “in the know” in their life.
so i did just now and i’m gonna font a controversial statement…
so i indulged in harlem on amazon prime and well…
i love shows that revitalize my sense of purpose.
sometimes,
we all need a boost from our current circumstances.
even though the shows are fiction,
we often see what we want in life through the lens of a tv show.
all the white vixens moved to new yawk to experience that “sex and the city” lifestyle.
i worked with white girls that piled in a one-bedroom to live their best hoe life because of that show.
harlem on amazon prime did that for me over the weekend.
it was created by tracy oliver who was a writer on one of my favorite “black girl friendship” movies,
“girls trip“.
the show was also executive produced by pharrell williams and amy poehler.
i saw the trailer a week ago:
…and i was sold when i saw my childhood crush,
meagan good.
after watching it in one sitting until 4 am on saturday…

i watched insecure season 5 premiere and i legit cried cause…
many of us in our late 20s,
30s,
and 40s are still trying to find a sense of direction.
remember when we were so confident when we were younger?
“we had all the time in the world” – molly.
now it seems like we don’t have much time at all these days.
in these crazy times,
it’s easy to fall into the:
“I’m not where I need to be!”
…venus fly trap of insecure thinking.
we watch everyone else making moves,
living these amazing lives,
but we’re still at the starting line or running in the wrong direction.
that is how i felt after watching the newest episode of insecure,
“reunited okay?!”,
for their final season.
i legit cried…

go “easy on me” is what adele must be thinking as we indulge in her latest
when “hello” from adele came out back in 2015,
i was dealing with a lot to feel sad about.
i was in “crush” with a work wolf that would end a year later.
it was legit “hello from the other side” when we stopped speaking.
that song would become a blanket of comfort i would listen to over and over.
i like songs that come out and speak about your exact situation.
you bee like:
“Uh,
have you been stalking me?!?!?”
my favorite part of that song was the background vocals during the bridge.
they described my emotions at that moment.
Highs,
Highs,
Highs,
Highs,
Lows,
Lows,
Lows,
Lows…
it is literally one of my favorite songs from adele.
it would be on the soundtrack of my life.
i waited patiently because spotify told me the song was gonna be released at 7pm.
i was listening to wizkid and his album ended right at 705pm.
you know a fox gotta come fashionably late.
my thoughts…
