Is it just me or do we all know a male who seems to be living in a perpetual state of scrutiny?

maybe it’s us right now?
as we navigate the high-stakes forest of corporate life,
or even if we are in entertainment or sports,
the whispers begin the moment we start to climb the ladder.

“Is he married?”
“Does he have kids?”
“I don’t see him talking about anyone special…”

once those whispers gain volume,
especially if we are hiding who we are inside,
we will do anything to lower them.
we duck for cover with “the ugly“,
“the desperate“,
or some black males get with “the white” to keep a low profile.
in all of those spaces,
it’s better optics to have a vixen on your arm around your straight (or white) peers.
even in our families,
among our friends,
at church,
or in the neighborhood,
if you’re a guy without that “basic” life…

the butt dial.
does that even happen anymore?
one of your butt cheeks decides to dial someone’s number by mistake.
they saying “hello? hello?” but they’re talking to your ass.
for shannon sharpe,
however,
he might have allegedly butt dialed an IG live so we can listen to him having sex…

…and folks wonder why people are so homophobic.
growing up around straights judging everything i did was not easy for me.
it left me hating myself and wishing i wasn’t so detectable.
i was a beacon in attracting some fine ass DLs but outside of that,
life was pretty much hell.

i can imagine what its like being straight and accused of being gay.
shannon sharpe caught some gay strays when he got out of a car…

i was posed with a thought after an intense therapy session today,
and even seeing clips of this mo’nique interview on club shay shay…

I watched the entire katt williams interview with shannon sharpe on sunday morning.
I woke up earlier than I should have and said:

“Why not?”

I thought it was entertaining and informative.
katt has a way of speaking and being engaging.
it was all eyes on him.
shannon sharpe isn’t a great interviewer tbh.
if you paid attention,
katt lowkey shaded him a few times.
i did appreciate shannon’s bawdy tho.
this interview shook everyone up so you know what folks are gonna do:

They are going to try and discredit Katt Willams with his past actions.

my thing is…

when i was working at a stressful job run by black people,
i was told that i needed to “play the game“.
even if things were terrible and i was damn near wasting away,
i needed to appreciate being at the job because it was a black company.
in a nutshell:

As black people,
we need to not critique or complaining about our own because its “hard for black folks to have or get anything”.

…which is a very “lack mentality” to begin with.
ex-baller wolf,
