one of my favorite quotes from dr. maya angelou is:

“the first time someone shows you who they are,
believe them.”

when i first heard it,
i was completely blown away.
it has stuck with me for years.
having several “a-ha” moments about people i needed to get rid of.
well maya angelou passed away today.
she was 86.
i was immediately saddened when i heard the news at work.
she was an inspiration to all and her light will surely be missed.
may she RIP.
her work on this earth will never be forgotten.
