Some may claim it is selfish, but Janet is nearing 50, and it is time for her to focus on herself. Yes, her fans are important, but in all honesty tours are all about money and she has hers with or without the tour. With that said, people should cut her some slack on this one.
How selfish and inconsiderate. Does she not know many people already took off a day/days off work because they were planning to see her? Or the people who booked holidays to see her because she wasn’t performing in their city? Hell, or the people who already spent their last dime for her tickets. Who the hell starts a tour and then cancels midway for something like this? It’s not like she needed the money, her man is a BILLIONAIRE. Bye Janet. Unbreakable? More like it’s the BROKEN tour! So glad I’m not a fan. Can’t imagine buying tickets only for an artist to cancel midway because they’re “planning to start a family” as if they never had years past them. You don’t get to play with your biological clock girl. This is just a mess. Extremely unprofessional.

Saw the Unbreakable show twice…it was well worth the money. Was a Janet stan in her heyday and while I understand disappointment from fans, I feel that honestly THIS is where she is now. She has enough fame, acclaim, and money and now there’s an opportunity to have what has eluded her. Honestly, I didn’t expect Unbreakable. I wish her well and if she decides to return to the “fame game”, I’m open.
Janet fans are frustrated because this ERA has been a letdown. Only one visual from a great album. Hopes of a BURNITUP and now a Damn Baby video. Looks like we got the BABY. I’m happy I got to see the UNBREAKABLE tour this summer. It was great! Congrats JANET

I was lucky to have seen her show here in Los Angeles. It was my first Janet concert and I loved every second of it. I don’t think she is pregnant. I think she has a surrogate. Maybe she is on bed rest because she is doing IVF. The doctors will shoot her up with hormones and retrieve some eggs (if she still has some) and then transfer the fertilized egg into a surrogate to carry. I highly doubt her doctor would let her go back on tour if she was pregnant at 49. Love her!

Those were some of the best shows, especially The Velvet Rope tour. I will say that her dancers for her Janet album/tour were her coolest entourage.
Janet probably was in the mindset of ” I’ve tried before with no success and I’m late in age, there’s no was I’m gonna get pregnant.”

I’m one of the lucky ones. I was able to see her on the first leg of the tour when she came to Atlanta. Great show!! I think she is pregnant now and that’s why every thing is being shutdown!! I’m happy for her. I feel this is what she wants and need for her marriage.

She is going to be 50years old next month, and although it is possible to have a baby at her age, the risk to herself and the child is enormous. I have a family member who I contacted when I heard this earlier and she works in a neonatal unit at a hospital and she said this was ridiculous. Although she hardly looks her age, she is still 50 at the end of the day and the human body ages internally. I heard of older women having healthy babies well into their forties but often times it is women who have had several children prior. The risk of pregnancy complications increases as the mother’s age increases. Risks associated with childbearing over the age of 50 include an increased incidence of gestational diabetes, hypertension, delivery by cesarean section, miscarriage, preeclampsia, and placenta previa. In comparison to mothers between 20 and 29 years of age, mothers over 50 are at almost three times the risk of low birth weight, premature birth, and extremely premature birth; their risk of extremely low birth weight, small size for gestational age, and fetal mortality was almost double.
This news caught me off guard for real, I am like is she serious or is this just a way to generate publicity to keep her name in the spotlight. At the end of the day she is Janet Jackson a multi-millionaire and has access to the best medical care in the world but this seems a bit risky for a woman of her age. Maybe she will consider adoption or use a surrogate.

Her fans are pissed saying why schedule a tour if you are planning on starting a family.I’m guessing she didn’t think she could get pregnant after trying for years and a miracle happened.She will be 50 in June so this a high risk pregnancy(if she is pregnant)
