we gotta do better,
including myself.
thanks for listening.

low-key: interestingly enough,
they’ll hit up all these black resources once they’re in trouble.

  1. Shame on the celebrities being….shocked. Did they think they were the only Black people allowed to be in the industry? However the ones being ousted, are going to be able to create spaces that will be just like Issa Rae’s Awkward Black Girl to Insecure. Black people are the tastemakers. It’s proven by science time and time again. But we push others forward. It’s a sad situation.

Also the “We don’t have this” is fake. Doesn’t Diddy own Revolt? What about TVONE since everyone complains about BET?

  2. Do you support and attend black centered events outside of the ones that are hyped and make it to national press? Often times it’s easy to point the finger when what we should be doing is taking a introspective look at our own selves.

    1. ^of course.
those are the ones i attend the most.
      usually,
      there is no red carpet.
the last “hyped” event i went to was something not for work.

even if i went to the hyped ones,
that still doesn’t excuse the fact that publicists push their black talent to white publications.

  3. *Gucci Mane walks by*

Reporter: GUCCI MANE….GUCCI…BLACK-OWNED MEDIA…DO IT FOR THE HOOD!!!!….

*Lil Nas X who had the hottest song of 2019 walks by*

    Reporter: *crickets*

    Chile….

      1. I would not include Lil Nas X because he’s still kinda new and has been interviewed by 3 black reporters from ET, Billboard, Extra.
