“You Ain’t No Hero So Get The Fuck Outta Here.”

this is not the face of a hero.

… supposedly.
according to a witness,
that fat baller jackal had to be begged to pull his friend,
jerry brown,
out the burning car he crashed while drunk out his mind….

The death of Dallas Cowboys linebacker Jerry Brown in a car accident just gets sadder and sadder. According to a witness, teammate Josh Brent, who was driving the car when it crashed, had to be begged repeatedly to pull Brown from the burning wreckage in which he was trapped.

Stacee McWilliams was one of the first two people to come across the crash scene, she told the Dallas Morning News.

“When I first pulled up to the scene, there was a little bit of a flame coming from the flipped vehicle, like in the engine area. Just a very small flame and I wasn’t too overly concerned for that. I jumped out of my vehicle and ran up to make sure that everyone was OK. As I got closer to the scene, there was a gentleman, which I later found out was Josh Brent, that was standing off to the right side of the wreckage, kind of pacing back and forth, you know, walking around.

“I asked him if he was OK, I said ‘Is everyone OK?’, ‘Are you all right?’, and he responded to me, he said that he was fine. The person that was in the other vehicle stepped out of her car and she said ‘I’ve already called 9-1-1, they’re on the way’ …. But it took no time at all for this fire to really get engaged. It became very hot, very bright, very big and then I started to hear screams coming from inside the vehicle and it was a man’s voice saying ‘Help me’, you know, ‘Help, somebody help me’. And I turned and looked at the [Brent], and I said ‘Is there a passenger? Is there somebody in the car?’. And he said ‘Yeah’. And I told him ‘Well, get him out of the car’.

“Josh looked at me and he said ‘He won’t get out of the car’. And I said ‘Well, you can’t just leave him in there and let him die. You’ve got to help him. Go get him’. And I commanded him several times and Josh looked at me, and he again said ‘He won’t get out of the car’. And I told him ‘You can’t stand here and watch him die. You’ve got to get him out’.”

Brent eventually pulled Brown from the car.

“I want people to understand that Josh Brent is not a hero,” McWilliams said. “I keep hearing reports of how he was there to pull his friend from the fire, but he had to be coerced and pushed and begged and pleaded to get his friend out of the fire. And when he pulled him out, he just left him in the street. He didn’t tell him ‘Hang in there, help is on the way’. Nothing. He just left him there and I want the magnitude of that to be understood.”

Irving, Texas, police spokesman John Argumaniz said investigators were still piecing together the events leading up to the crash. Brent has been charged with intoxication manslaughter. The arrest affidavit said Brent “admitted to consuming alcohol.” He was given a blood alcohol test against his will, but the results have not yet been released.

But here’s a question that needs to be asked: If Brent refused to act, why didn’t McWilliams try to pull Brown out of the car herself?

  1. you know what, this just shows you that in life you are truely ALONE, espeially when you become famous and think your zillion and one “homeboys” got your back – bS. These guys get it all warped up on who and what is important and when shit hits them, they find out they’ve isolated all the RELEVANT people (ochocinco is another example) RIP tho

  2. Actually there are conflicting witness reports. There is a witness that was actually there before this lady arrived but could not get to the scene due to the DART tracks. this witness stated that he could hear Brent screaming that he could not get Brown out and that he needed help. Then at that point is when this lady arrives on the scene. I’am not defending what happened at all, but it seems to me that this lady is is only telling her side of the story as if its the only side.

  3. I know people are questioning the woman’s action as to why she didn’t try to pull the passenger out. But unless she is She-Ra, I can’t see a grown woman pulling a grown ass football player out of a vehicle that is overturned, particularly, when there is another man on the scene that is bigger than she is.

  4. SMDH…..The world we live in today. I am SO glad I don’t keep much company and I PRAY that IF I ever got into a situation in which I would need help, that people will try their best to help and not whip out their phones…

This is just so sad…SO damn sad…

  5. If it’s true that he was intoxicated, then you never know. A lot of people become incoherent when drunk. and I was asking myself the same question Jamari “Why didn’t she try to help him?” I’m sure a lot of people will be ignorant and think “Because he’s the man.” “She’s a woman, she’s not strong enough to pull him out” yada yada etc etc. Unless there’s video footage, and even that can be edited, we’ll never know the truth. Meh.

  6. Aw damn I was really feeling bad for this dude, thinking that he made a dumb mistake by drinking, but he was probably torn up being that was his best friend had been killed, and he would have to live with that the rest of his life, but if this is true, it goes to show you that he wasnt no friend at all, just a selfish hating ass bitch, Im sure that crashed sobered his ass up, but he was only thinking of himself at the time. I hope this is a lesson to all of these ballers in all leagues to watch the company they keep, of course we just discuss this last week talking about Allen Iverson. Its like a dark cloud is over the NFL right now, but the Universe has a way of correcting foul dark behavior. I hope this young man family can get some closure and move on especially after hearing this.

  7. Such a sad story. According toBrown’s mother the two guys were like brothers and she even invited him to sit next to her and the family during the memorial.

  8. This is a sad sad situation but what’s sadder is he is probably going to get a few years at the most. While if that were the average man it would be life. This is America the only thing that matter is how much money you have smdh
