WHO RUN THIS HIPHOP M*THAF*CHA?

THE HIPHOP GAYS DO!!
WOOP WOOP…

no, but seriously…
Fat Joe, NORE, DMX, and The Game have something to say about this…

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BdaPDftAdMc&feature=player_embedded]

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k7D1thMrTzA&feature=player_embedded]

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k3UDrutvxg0&feature=player_embedded]

I mean Fat Joe ain’t telling us something we don’t already know or figured out.
I wish people would realize that in other aspects of the industry has it’s share of homos…
… and lets not forget about the Vixens whose only diet is cat sandwiches.

People need to realize that these artists are created, morphed, and turned into a brand by an office.
PR is what makes these people come off God-like and have clean hands.
Everything you see isn’t everything you should believe.
Take everything with a grain of salt and always expect the unexpected.
You won’t be disappointed that way.

…and it burns my biscuits when people say they should “come out”.
why?

  1. Because when gay is associated with the institution its often done from a negative standpoint. “Oh, thats the gay school.” And when people say “gay” they often associate it with weak and flamboyant and as we know those things are not accepted in society. The reaction comes in the same way in this conversation where individuals don’t want to be known as the “gay guy.” As if it makes ups the majority of what the school is about. Usually people who say those things don’t really go to school or don’t know too much about the population itself. So when you tell an alum, someone whos been through the experience that the institution is nothing but gayness we often get defensive because it isn’t true. There is definitely a very masculine, hetero-normative atmosphere that exists and most of the homosexual students find themselves having to navigate through it. Self-loathing complexes amongst the homosexual population does exist, I’m not saying it doesn’t. There are those who seek to blend in with the straight majority and will keep their distance from the smaller, “out” minority of students. Where they are an “us.” A population that says “I don’t do too much and don’t want to be perceived as weak or as an ‘other’.. like them. They should be more like ‘us’.” So the out, more comfortable with themselves minority, often have to push against that. But that’s something you wouldn’t really see from the outside looking in.

Look at institutions like Morehouse. Projecting this image of the heterosexual, alpha black male. But if you take a stroll down White Hall (the freshman dorms) you’ll see anything but heterosexuality.

Wait a minute!!!! There is definitely not a huge majority of homosexuality on campus.
They are visible yes, but they do not dominate. White Hall is one dorm that has has house homosexual students yes, but they are still out numbered like 30 to 1.

It was sort of a figure of speech, but Morehouse is definitely crawling with gay brothas’. I’m the just pointing out the hypocrisy of the institution, because they act as if homosexuality isn’t prevalent on campus. My homie (straight) who is a freshman, tells me that A LOT of them dudes don’t even try to holla at the girls over at Spellman. They even dyke at Spellman, smh. I aint mad though, do you…

    1. Well as an alum of the institution, i can tell you that your friend hasnt been there long enough to get an accurate picture of student life yet (he hasnt even finished his first semester). It isn’t “crawling” with gay men necessarily. But since the overall student population isnt very large, there are enough of them to be visible and typically those are the only students people focus on. So a group of 50 or 60 gay students may seem like a lot, but there are 2,000 other straight students who you don’t pay attention to and whom you probably dont see because they go to class and go back home. That’s the biggest misconception about the school.

Homosexuality is not prevalent in the sense that its 50% or more of the population but the homosexual students are there and many do not hide who they are. But the hypocrisy that exists is a product of the people the school serves and society it operates in. The school feels as though its mission is to change the image of black men to one of a more “positive” one. So it pushes against all stereotypes and seeks to mold its students its a more eurocentric, hetero-normative type that the hegemonic society says is the ideal.

      1. Ah, okay, I gotchu. However, why do Morehouse alumni get so upset or unsettled whenever someone mentions the word “gay” associated with their school. Typically it’s mostly gay men themselves who get angry if you even insinuate “gayness” with Morehouse. These are the kind of self loathing complexes that plague black, gay men. I don’t understand it.

^besides i bet white homosexuals get more respect among their own, than black homosexuals get from their own – it seems to apply to regular business life, and probably also showbiz as that is a bit more ladeedah than the real world

I don’t think that white gays are more respected by whites than black gays are respected less by other blacks. The BM4WM thing is that Dem white boys will get fed the black dick but they won’t take them home to met their mothers.

  4. ^besides i bet white homosexuals get more respect among their own, than black homosexuals get from their own – it seems to apply to regular business life, and probably also showbiz as that is a bit more ladeedah than the real world

Not exactly, dude. The Jay Z’s, Will Smiths etc. are not running their mouth about said “Gay Mafia” because they are PAID. only a broke nigga is a loose cannon. I believe there are a gang of gay men and women who work behind the scenes in Hollywood who are paid to beard these celebrities, make sure they have a wholesome heterosexual image. It’s all very self loathing. How many times has Queen Latifah’s PR people came out and told the public that she’s “not” and lesbian and that the lesbian rumors or what’s keeping her from finding a man? (Gimme a break), or how many times have the very super, powerful heterosexual couple Will and Jada told us how in love they are, and how much sex they are having? It’s the same in white Hollywood. Didn’t the singer Taylor Swift “date” three guys that conveniently had gay rumors swirling about them? Joe Jonas, Taylor Lautner, Jake G. Hollyweird is fake, all smoke and mirrors. PR people would like for you to believe that these people are “heterosexual” and “dating”, just like they would like you to believe Kim Kardashian’s romance with ole boy was real.
It’s the same out in everyday life. Look at institutions like Morehouse. Projecting this image of the heterosexual, alpha black male. But if you take a stroll down White Hall (the freshman dorms) you’ll see anything but heterosexuality.

High profile Hollywood peeps fronting like they are str8 is not different from policemen, politicians, CEO’s etc all tend to hide their sexuality because of the consequences they may face if they are discovered. Yeah I see LA LA that is what they can Queen in her circles and she is very gay and definitely the butch one in the relationship. Being Perceive as being gay mean lost of revenue at the box office or at the record store

  7. #whoisjamarifox :
    ^exactly
But my point is just because they are pretty much nobodies doesn’t mean they can’t say what they have witnessed and been around.

LOL I am lost I thought I was saying that some of these peeps are they freaking so called gay Mafia lol

  8. #whoisjamarifox :
    ^exactly
But my point is just because they are pretty much nobodies doesn’t mean they can’t say what they have witnessed and been around.

I am not saying that consider the fucking source lol

  9. Steven :
I can understand why they wouldn’t wanna come out. Most black people (especially women) are homophobic and probably wouldn’t accept them for who they are. They could possibly lose a lotta fans. But I agree with Vain…life is easier when people know who you are. My coworkers knew about me and it didn’t change anything.

    True dat yo

  10. #whoisjamarifox :
    And furthermore,
No one is addressing that what if they come out and no career?
    So what happens next?
Because it seems everyone is talking this “come out and be accepted”
… Until those checks stop rolling in and that person has been thrown to the side.
You can have all the respect you want until it is time to pay those bills.
So regular every day whoever coming out is one thing.
Someone who has an image as built on this persona is another story.
It isn’t easy and like I said,
If you are being an asshole and hurting people in your secrecy,
You are fucking your whole game up.
Also: life is free when you love yourself and know what you want.
Life is free when you accept yourself and say this is who I am and this is the life I choose.
Coming out the closet isn’t the only way to have a free life.

My point is fucking this why would a muther fucker want to come of the fucking closet. The only peeps who are pressuring others to come out of the fucking closet are those kats who are so fucking flaming that they cannot stay in the closet no matter how big or deep it may be. These kats then devote the rest of their lives fucking trying to out others, or criticizing peeps who can stay in the fucking closet!!! I think and the end of the fucking day muther fuckers sex lives should be their own damn business str8, gay, or bi

    1. I hate the term coming out because it had a specific connotation that people try to apply to different types of situations. When people hear that phrase they think of someone going around announcing their orientation to everyone. I think of it as just being honest about, not necessarily needing to inform anyone. Even if someone claimed straight before and they werent they don’t owe it to anyone to inform them that they were gay.

  11. #whoisjamarifox :
^’maybe because those people are successful and have no right to complain lol
Really do you think those people who are the top of their careers will complain?
    Highly than unlikely.
Sure Fat Joe, Maino, Game, and Dmx are pretty much the bottom of the barrel and nobodies.
But they can still share opinions.
    It is what it is.

The point that I am making is that in all things consider the fucking source. DMX should not be talking about the gay mafia lol. Most thugs in Baltimore Knows that when DMX used to sell drugs in Bmore he was working for an older dealer who use to blow the backs of his runners including DMXl lol Fat Joe who is he again? LOL the Game this guy fucks around he is a bipolar former gang banger come on yo’s lol

  13. In my experience coming out and all that is crock. Like it in the end makes people perceive you to be weak and in my experience try to intimidate you. I’m opposed to anyone coming out because it simply at the end of the day is your business and it’s personal. Moreover, when you come out you begin to be introduced or discussed as the “gay guy” or something of the sort. Not the light skinned cute guy that’s in charge of the IT department or something that has positive reinforcement behind it.

I just made a choice that I don’t want to be seen as the “gay guy” because it honestly doesn’t define who I am. My character can be defined as much more than just the fact that I suck dick, that’s just my perspective on it.

    1. Help me understand. So there is something negative about being known as the “gay guy” as opposed to the “light skin guy from the IT department” which is something positive?

    2. And furthermore,
No one is addressing that what if they come out and no career?
      So what happens next?
Because it seems everyone is talking this “come out and be accepted”
… Until those checks stop rolling in and that person has been thrown to the side.

Life is free when you accept yourself and say this is who I am and this is the life I choose.
Coming out the closet isn’t the only way to have a free life.

      1. If you are someone who would rather be paid for living in-authentically then so be it. If the checks stop coming in because you chose to be honest about a part of yourself then perhaps that isn’t the best industry for anyone looking to be “free” let alone happy. Its one thing to not tell people. Its another to spend a large part of your intimate life in secret with false names, mixed pronouns, sneaking around when the sun goes down, waiting 10 minutes between departing a location you were both at, all the while hoping no one saw the two of you together for fear of your “career” or “image.” I dont know how anyone can label that as a “free” life?

    3. Are we defining “coming out” as making an announcement about your orientation or just choosing not to discuss it

  14. I agree w/KB (how many times will I say that? lol). I just can’t get w/a ‘gay mafia’ controlling the strings. First, Iont believe things would be so homophobic & nasty if so. When you have the ability to control the images, you tend to be more favorable to your own…EBT notwithstanding (that’s BET to most of you).

Some people just want to find a reason for their failures…everything but what they’re doing *shrug*

Granted, there has to be gay people involved in hip-hop, just not to the degree so many think. And I don’t talk about dating at work, and I’m single now; but if I was seeing someone & it’s serious I wouldn’t have a problem bringing him/her around

  15. I completely understand why they don’t want to come out. Even though I’m not a celebrity, I understand there is a luxury of NOT being out. In society we are making some strides toward equality with the whole “same-sex” marriage ideals but as of today, gay is not universally accepted. These artists are products and they have to maintain an image that appeals to the majority of their audiences. I know it’s nice to think that a celebrity that comes out will be accepted. Then, others will come out and thus all gays will be accepted but in the present reality. It’s just a nice thought. Your being accepted does not justify or prove that a rapper would be accepted. It’s safe and comfortable to be considered “straight.” It is what it is…

    1. “It’s just a nice thought.” Wow. Okay.

The point is to strive towards equality one step at a time. Part of it has to do with being bale to be yourself and successful instead of having to choose between them. No, it will not happen overnight but if we continue with this idea that there is a “luxury of not being out” then the hetero-normative standard that keeps us unequal will persist. Its scary to me how we are so willing to remain inauthentic for the sake of pleasing a general public who’s interests are so fleeting.

  16. So when people say one should “come out”, it mostly means they should be free to express that part of themselves in the same way heterosexuals can.

        1. ^really?
          I never heard that lol

I thought everyone bowed down to the Jews because realistically,
They are the 1s with the bigger dicks in the industry.

          So if anything,
They should stop worrying about gays lol

  17. #whoisjamarifox :
^ how about the person doesn’t want to come out because they simply don’t want too?
Here is the thing: it shouldn’t be a test of your “manhood”.
You simply do not want to come out and that is that.
I am not out at my job and all these people respect me because 1) I’m not here to talk about who I’m fuckin 2) I can joke and act stupid with the best of them 3) Im handsome, dress nice, and carry myself with some class and 4) I’m not afraid to put someone in check.
I am respected by everyone in the higher ups, but the lower blacks are jealous and just tolerate me because I take all their shine lmao
Some of the gays here are either catty, very scared to show their personality, or come off like horny toads to everything with testosterone… So their respect goes out the window.

    Lol… “Lower blacks”? Alrighty.

When topics of homosexuality do come up, and im sure they have, do contributed your point of view to the conversation from the stance of a homosexual male?

      1. Never? Nope. Sorry. I don’t believe that lol.

But the point i was trying to make is that often times one “not wanting to” come out has a lot more to do with the effects of being perceived under the negatives of that label as opposed to being labeled homosexual itself. If one will talk freely about other things like their gender or their race without issue but will choose leave out their sexuality, then that means that there is something deeper there that would keep them from bringing it up than just overall “disinterest.” Even if the person themselves does not think so.

    1. ^’maybe because those people are successful and have no right to complain lol

Really do you think those people who are the top of their careers will complain?

  18. There is no fucking gay mafia controlling hip hop, controlling the film industry etc. That shit is made up by fucking insecure, unsuccessful, and fading actors, and hip hop people. This happens because them muther fuckers cannot succeed on their limitless fucking talent!!!! Have you ever heard Brad Pitt, Denzel Washington, Samuel L Jackson, Morgan Freeman, Will Smith, Antony Mackie, or Wesley Snipes ever complain about the fucking gay Mafia controlling their fucking careers???!!!!. I don’t hear fucking Sting, Bono, Bruce Springstein, LL Cool J, P Diddy ( yeah I know what yall are fucking thinking with this one), Jay Z, etc complaining about the fucking gay Mafia??? Again peeps the fucking numbers always add up that they are way more str8 people in the world and running the entertainment industry that there are gay.!!!!!! Trust me that more females are getting pressured to be fucked by men than men are by other men.

    1. Not exactly, dude. The Jay Z’s, Will Smiths etc. are not running their mouth about said “Gay Mafia” because they are PAID. only a broke nigga is a loose cannon. 19. Because them coming out will make them visible and people need to see in order to be believe (most times). Living in this sort of shadow, behind the scenes lifestyles will not make anyone more accepting of homosexuality and will not gain the favor of your beloved straight men. Forcing people to face it and deal with it does. I learned in school that the out homosexuals were respected a whole lot more than the glass closeted, hitting you up on some late night slick tip ones.

    1. ^but why does anyone have to come out?
You do not have to do anything you want to do.
And who is to say this person comes out and is respected?
People pre-assume this mass accepting life and they could just be wrong.
And God forbid it is someone women are attracted too.
If you are a good person (who has a nice but nasty attitude)
      You will be respected.
Regardless of being gay, straight, purple….

If someone wants to be in the closet and is not harming anyone,
I say go ahead and do your thing.
Maybe I have a different mind set

      1. People do not pre-assume all the time. From the experience of someone who is out in my workplace i can tell you that you will be respected. I dont have to spend my time tip-toeing around, changing or avoiding pronouns when discussing dating interests, i dont spend my time making sure straight employees are comfortable when talking about things that are pertinent to me. It takes too much energy to worry about pleasing this hetero-normative society. You can absolutely be a good person and be respected, no question there. But if you must keep a part of yourself a secret because you feel that you will be treated as “less than” if they find out, then that’s troubling. You can be in the closet, no one is forcing anyone out. But please be completely conscious of the reason behind your closeted-ness and whether or not its inline with reality and not based off of presumptions and fear.

        1. ^ how about the person doesn’t want to come out because they simply don’t want too?

Here is the thing: it shouldn’t be a test of your “manhood”.
You simply do not want to come out and that is that.
