When Your Career Is In “Doubt”

^that is laverne cox about to tackle her for ruining this check.
i don’t get the following.
well,
i do.
i remember when izzie stephens,
played by katherine heigl,
became the “it vixen” on grey’s anatomy.
as soon as any vixen from a tv show becomes “it”,
she is put into a ton of movies to raise her fan base.
“knocked up” and “the ugly truth” where her big movies during her prime.
well katherine heighl is the example of “biting the hand that feeds you”.
after a long list of flops,
she got on a show called “doubt” on cbs.
well after two episodes,
it’s been cancelled.
check out why via ew

CBS has pulled Doubt off the schedule effective immediately, EW has learned.

The drama — which starred Grey’s Anatomy alum Katherine Heigl as a defense lawyer who falls for her charismatic, but possibly guilty, client (Steve Pasquale) — debuted to 5.31 million viewers and 0.8 in the 18-49 demo, below its time slot predecessor Code Black. The show dropped further in week 2 to 4.03 million viewers and 0.6 in the demo before CBS swiftly replaced it.

Next week, the network will rebroadcast an episode of Bull on Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET, with Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders taking over the time slot on March 8 following the two-hour spring premiere of Survivor. The network had produced 13 episodes of the drama, but only two aired. It’s unclear if/when the show would ever return to the lineup, but moves like this usually spell doom for a series.

i saw the commercials for the show.
with many of her past shows,
it just didn’t look interesting.
well laverne can always go back to “orange is the new black”.
she still has a successful fallback.
katherine,
however,
may have to resort back to:

it is crazy to me how far she has fallen.
it’s her own doing.
she dissed many shows and projects she was on.
i think she should bite the bullet and go back to greys.
greys is in it’s 13th season and still pulling in excellent ratings.

  1. CBS’s spinoff series “the Good Fight” appears to be a solid show. Unfortunately it’s only available on CBS All Access (a streaming app). I haven’t seen “Doubt”. Hopefully Laverne will show up in another hit show. She has talent.

  2. I liked the show the cast was good and Laverne Cox really shocked me as a lawyer. They should just replaced Katherine have her accept a job somewhere else I feel bad for the rest of the cast members tho.

    1. ^damn was it really good?

i’m confused how you can cancel a show after 2 episodes?
that isn’t even enough time to put the full plot out there.

      1. They cancelled the show Rush Hour after about 2 episodes as well, but the black on there as moved on to Mcgyver on CBS think it’s something with that network maybe management

      2. ^This is what I don’t understand either. You’re not even allowing the show to gain an audience/following. These networks expect a show to be a hit right out of the box, and it doesn’t happen like that. People will tune in initially, and sure you will lose some viewers the next episode, but word of mouth is what makes shows successful. The people that watch the show will tell others, and that brings in those new viewers.

I seriously wonder how these people in management stay in their positions. They should at least run the remaining episodes…they may get better, or maybe they won’t. But you won’t know until you air them.

    1. ^what puzzled me is how she gonna say she didn’t like the script for “knocked up”,
but she was still promoting it??
she ruined that relationship right there with those people over there.
she was real loud mouth over on greys too.

      she pretty much doomed herself.

      1. Right. No one wants to work with her anymore. It’s sad because she’s gorgeous and talented, but you’re not gonna get very far if you got a stank attitude
