i have been thinking of vanessa bryant and her oldest daughter since kobe died.
i can’t even begin to imagine how they’ve has been.
losing her husband and her daughter at the same time.

My girls and I want to thank the millions of people who’ve shown support and love during this horrific time. Thank you for all the prayers. We definitely need them. We are completely devastated by the sudden loss of my adoring husband, Kobe — the amazing father of our children; and my beautiful, sweet Gianna — a loving, thoughtful, and wonderful daughter, and amazing sister to Natalia, Bianka, and Capri. We are also devastated for the families who lost their loved ones on Sunday, and we share in their grief intimately. There aren’t enough words to describe our pain right now. I take comfort in knowing that Kobe and Gigi both knew that they were so deeply loved. We were so incredibly blessed to have them in our lives. I wish they were here with us forever. They were our beautiful blessings taken from us too soon. I’m not sure what our lives hold beyond today, and it’s impossible to imagine life without them. But we wake up each day, trying to keep pushing because Kobe, and our baby girl, Gigi, are shining on us to light the way. Our love for them is endless — and that’s to say, immeasurable. I just wish I could hug them, kiss them and bless them. Have them here with us, forever. Thank you for sharing your joy, your grief and your support with us. We ask that you grant us the respect and privacy we will need to navigate this new reality. To honor our Team Mamba family, the Mamba Sports Foundation has set up the MambaOnThree Fund to help support the other families affected by this tragedy. To donate, please go to MambaOnThree.org. To further Kobe and Gianna’s legacy in youth sports, please visit MambaSportsFoundation.org. Thank you so much for lifting us up in your prayers, and for loving Kobe, Gigi, Natalia, Bianka, Capri and me. #Mamba #Mambacita #GirlsDad #DaddysGirls #Family ❤️

x SEE IT HERE

i applaud her for having the strength to write this heartfelt message.
she is right tho.
kobe literally stopped time when he passed.
from fans of basketball to those who never watched,
everyone knew who kobe was.
he made such an impact with his time on earth.
it’s very inspiring within it all.
i try to hold that close when i get down about his death.
you never know the impact you leave others.
make sure your short time here on earth matters.

i’m keeping everyone effected by this tragedy lifted up in prayer.

  1. My prayers goes out to the family and extended family!!! It has been a sad week all week, but with GOD all things are possible.

  2. I haven’t felt this kind of sadness since Prince died. Everything about this one is nothing but heartbreaking. I don’t think i could stand the pressure if i was Vanessa. I pray for her and her entire family. Just too much.

  3. I’ve been abstaining from social media since Sunday when we found out because I’m going through a lot already. Not the most spiritual or religious person but I truly send my thoughts and prayers to Bryant’s family and the families of the other passengers.

  4. The fact that she’s thinking about the other families financial needs in this time shows what type of woman she is ❤️ 😢

  5. This has been one of the saddest moment ever. I just can’t imagine what her family is going through, as well as the other families.

Watching Inside the NBA last night, listening to all the stories about Kobe and how much he meant to them was heartbreaking.

It’s going to take a while to get over the initial shock of this tragedy.

      1. I’m a crybaby in general but I was doing good all day yesterday until I saw Shaq cry 😢 on that TNT video at Staples.
