The Sweet Taste of Mint

So a Fox is on. It. HEAVY.

After that situation I had 2 weeks ago,
it got a nigga COMPLETELY FOCUSED.
I never want to be in that situation again,
so I decided to start on BOSS status.

You never know how it feels to be completely broke.
I GOT BEEF WITH BROKE!

After sailing on a smooth budget I set up,
that shit fucked me all up.
I couldn’t do much this holiday weekend,
but I was focused on setting up a plan to be financially set.

FIRST START…

I was browsing through my apps on my iPad and came across one for a service called Mint.
Those who don’t know what Mint is, I will tell you right now…

Mint.com is a budgeting site.
It helps you keep track of where your money is going and what is coming in.
It also helps you set up budgets and goals for trips, retirement, 401k, and whatever else you want to save money for.
How does it work?
Well, for starters, you sign up and enter your bank account information.
I know you are thinking:

HELL MUH-FUCK NO!

… but I assure you, it is completely safe.
I always so a STRICT research before I sign up for anything.
Anyway, I set it up and it showed me exactly how my money was being spent.
I, then, went about setting up budgets for the month by entering what I spend money on.
So, my bills and other expenses/pleasure.
It calculated it all and told me how much I will have left back, which allowed me to edit my lifestyle.
Also, I have it send me alerts, by either email or text, if something is wrong with my account.
Either deposits or withdraws, I get a message.
Or, when I overspend in my budget, it will let me know.

I think that is the cool part of it actually.
A FOX NEEDS TO BE ALERTED WHEN SHIT AIN’T KOSHER!

Here is a quick video on how it works:

I think you all should know where your money is going.
You will be so surprised to know just how much you are spending a month.
So, check it out.

  1. You JUST heard of mint? Cmon son im 20 and I’ve been using mint Since I was 18

  2. Hey Jamari! I’ve been reading your blog for a few weeks now and LOVE IT! I’ve never commented before, but I feel it’s necessary now. Whatever you do, do not stay signed up to Mint. I’ve had three different friends and a cousin all have their identity stolen within the last year. They’ll get a call from the bank asking about charges being made around the world that don’t fit their normal spending pattern. When I spoke with them about it, the only thing that they had done differently within a couple months of getting that phone call from the bank was that they had all signed up for Mint a few months prior. Be careful!…I don’t think it’s a coincidence.
