the rona shredded his muscles down from 190 to 140 pounds (holy guacamole)

one of the first things i’m doing when new yawk opens up is a haircut.
my whole head is terror,
even tho i been doing my best to maintain my hair with products.
the vanity in me once to look normal even tho i plan on keeping my events limited.
everyone meet mike schultz,
a rn from san francisco.
he ended up catching the rona while attending the winter party festival in march.
he decided to share his “before and after” from his battle and well…

this is an excerpt from an article from “buzz feed”:

“I thought only a week had gone by,” he told BuzzFeed News.

That’s when she let him know he hadn’t been in the ward for one week — he’d been there for six.

“I was so weak. This was one of the most frustrating parts,” he recalled. “I couldn’t hold my cellphone; it was so heavy. I couldn’t type, because my hands shook so much.”

The 43-year-old nurse from San Francisco had no underlying health conditions. He normally worked out six or seven times a week. He weighed about 190 pounds. When he spoke with BuzzFeed News on Tuesday, weeks after he’d been able to start eating foods again, he weighed just 140 pounds. His lung capacity is only now starting to slowly come back.

“I knew what I thought going in [about the coronavirus]. I didn’t think it was as serious as it was until after things started happening,” he said. “I thought I was young enough for it not to affect me, and I know a lot of people think that.

“I wanted to show it can happen to anyone. It doesn’t matter if you’re young or old, have preexisting conditions or not. It can affect you.”

wow.
it’s bothersome when you see folks outside truly not giving a fuck about a mask.
you can choose to go outside,
but don’t be an asshole when it comes to safety.
we all weren’t on quarantine because we were playing one long ass game of hide and seek.

as states start to open up,
i hope the foxhole moves carefully out here.
as much as i’d love to be at every cock fight,
ima do my best to pick and choose where i show my face and mask.
sidebar: those masks be hot af and can get annoying after a while.
this shit ain’t no joke.
the day i act like i’m invisible is the day i’ll probably get it.
worse case scenario:

Give it to someone else and kill them them

    1. What on Earth? His profile says I have to be 18! What is he up to on there? Maybe like the nurse from Andrew Gillum’s scandal.

  1. We need to see more stories like his on the news. Especially about the young black men who die from Corona.
Young black men need to realize…Yes you can get it and spread it!
I notice alot of young black men not wearing a face mask, because they see it as a sign of weakness.
    Just ridiculous!
Right now we need to learn how to live with this virus, until we have a vaccine.(2021🙏)
Wear a mask/ face covering, wash your hands often etc…come on we know what to do after 3 months hearing it everyday…Just do it!
I been inside to f**** long now 😉

  2. Pandemic like this definitely now scare me how I go about these circuit events and especially how I use to do it. Sizzle is surely fizzle. Im sure allot of the participants didn’t care even ppl on the cruise still went in the first week when it was announced but the party played and I’m guilty myself. I say this again, this is our version of the 80s pandemic.

  3. I essentially got a mask because they said in order to travel I needed to wear one. I brought three that look nice and match some of my clothes but have yet to wear them in public until I start moving about in a couple of weeks.

Even so, people really don’t care here. I’ve stepped out to the balcony and could see some college folks all together cooking, laughing and what not…Not a single one was wearing a mask.

I may have saw maybe one girl wearing a mask, but her father wasn’t and other kids around weren’t either.

The postal worker didn’t have on a mask, none of my Amazon delivery drivers had on a mask. I ordered a pizza about a month ago and they had on a mask though.

Actually, it was nice to see the folks out. They all looked happy to be honest….at the moment…

When he said: “I thought I was young enough for it not to affect me, and I know a lot of people think that.

“I wanted to show it can happen to anyone. It doesn’t matter if you’re young or old, have preexisting conditions or not. It can affect you.”

It’s a virus. I mean that’s what viruses do, they don’t discriminate, just like HIV or colds dont. Anyone can get affected at any time from the virus.

Even so, an elderly woman fought off Rona and lived to see another day and a young guy died from it. A tiger also allegedly caught Rona but is doing fine.

    1. ^everyone wants a sense of normalcy again,
but they need to be safe doing it.
i know many people around me who refuse to even go outside now that they’re easing this lockdown.
it’s gonna be a few months til folks feel comfortable and they’re entitled to that

      1. Might even be longer than that since this was timed just right to coincide with the dismissal of flu season which is usually later in the year but can go on as far as May.

I have wanted nothing more than to return to traveling again. I’m not dumb to this “pandemic” but not scared to move around either.

Despite the fear of folks being stuck in the house and the surge of domestic abuse cases, I find it highly alarming that a shit-ton of small businesses have been decimated to nothing. The unemployment rate has quadrupled and some people are hunger, evicted or both.

I wonder how the CDC is going to facilitate their shitty vaccine to accommodate the virus known as the U.S. Government?

I’m taking the chillen to the park later with masks. Let them enjoy some fresh air and get some time outside. I miss the park myself, and beach. I bet the folks in Florida were jumping up and down when they partially opened the beaches.
