the retribution of music teacher, martson riley

it’s so hard these days being a teacher.
some of these little shits are out of control.
the following story made me sad.
mostly for the gentleman involved,
but really for the future.
so everyone meet martson riley.
he’s 64 and the music teacher at maywood academy high school in cali.
well,
ex music teacher.
he got into a fight with a student.
why?
he told the student to leave the class because he wasn’t in proper uniform.
the entire incident was caught on tape

where is this high school?
hell?
i was so disgusted watching that video.
he was squaring up on that older wolf like he was his age.
well mr. riley got arrested for child abuse charges,
but not without a ton of support via “the daily mail”:

A GoFundMe page has raised more than $33,000 in two days in support of a high school music teacher who was arrested after being caught on video punching a 14-year-old student in band class.

Marston Riley, 64, was arrested on Friday on child abuse charges following the violent altercation with his student at Maywood Academy High School in California.

The confrontation escalated after Riley told the teenager to leave the classroom because he was not wearing his proper band uniform.

The student refused to leave and was filmed challenging his black teacher to fight, calling him the N-word and throwing a basketball at him.

Riley then asked the teen to leave again before repeatedly punching him in the face.

Several students have come out in support of their music teacher following his arrest, saying the student had provoked Riley and that he had been viciously attacked by a group of students before.

Scores of people have been defending Riley on social media and the GoFundMe page set up by his former colleague had raised more than $33,000 on Monday morning.

‘Mr Riley doesn’t deserve this. It’s sad seeing our generation fall apart due to the immaturity and stupidity young students are exemplifying. Our teacher deserved RESPECT, not insults. He deserves to be DEFENDED, not plastered in such a negative way,’ one student tweeted.

Another student told KTLA that the high was set up just to provoke Riley.

‘Everything was planned out. There were students there who were already taking out their phones to record the incident. I don’t think it’s completely fair that they’re just putting the blame all on (Riley), when I personally know that he’s a good guy,’ the student said.

Another teen described Riley as being kind and said he had a good relationship with his students.

I had this teacher before and I had no problem with him. He was a really nice teacher, I always respected him. He always had a really good relationship with every student,’ one student said.

Students said Riley was involved in an incident last year during which he was attacked by three teenagers when he caught them ditching class.

Some have said the teacher was thrown to the ground before being kicked and punched repeatedly by the three students. A parent initially told news outlets that Riley was the one who started that incident by punching one of the students.

Students were organizing to wear all black to school on Monday as they used to the hashtag #justiceforriley.

it’s now at 57 thousand.
i’m sure celebs might get involved too.
this is why it pays to have a solid reputation.
when shit like this goes down,
folks will vouch for your innocence.
this poor teacher seems like he has dealt with a lot.
i’m glad he is getting support.
he doesn’t wake up every day to deal with shit like that.
i pray for nothing but blessings going forward for mr. riley.
i hope theyconvict that student and gets sued.
i call to the board for immediate banishment.

if i was mr. riley,
i’d take that money and retire.

lowkey: did they find the students social media?
he needs to be publicly shamed.

  1. Wow… this videooooo! I’m glad he did clock that kid a few times, I doubt he’ll do that shit again with another teacher. Also the amount of times that non black boy called that teacher a “nigga”… like I’ve always gon back and forth with Latinos using that word because I’m from the Bronx, and it’s common to hear it from them, and some are both black and Latino, but to hear someone who probably isn’t black use “nigga” over and over again to address an older black man felt very disrespectful. It angered me to the point where I wish this teacher would have knocked him out cold. I think I’m going to have to stop using that word all together around non black people period.

  2. I honestly don’t blame the teacher!!! No one will continue to allow these children to disrespect them!! The way things are going in this world and in the school today,u gotta be able to protect yourself!! I wish Mr Riley nothing but the best!!

  3. Hey, Jamari.

THANK YOU for not crucifying this teacher. We already get blamed for shyt that we literally have no control over when it comes to instruction. Like Lyfe said earlier, I HATE that other ethnicities have even given clearance to use “nigga”. I moved from Alabama to Texas in ’08 and almost lost my job because a Mexican came out his mouth with, “Hold on, nigga. Damn!” My next words were, “The FUCK YOU SAY?!?!” as I prepared to jump across the service well. One of the Black managers ran up asking what happened. When I told him, this negro looked at me and said, “That’s how they do.” My response, “Who tha fuck is they?”

When I told a friend from Cali about it, she said that every ethnicity but Whites use it in Oakland. I’m was like somebody gone lose they life over that word. I had two cousins expelled from high school because they DRUG this White chick that greeted one of the sisters with, “Wassup, my nigga.” She meant no disrespect, but that word is a trigger for a lot of people.

This teacher is 64 years old. That puts him as a child during Jim Crow. I am willing to bet money the barrage of “my nigga” fro. A kid that didn’t look like him coupled with the ball being thrown AND be called a “hoe ass bitch” is what got that boy ass beat.

I don’t normally advocate violence, but every Black kid at that school that respects the teacher needs to remind that lil punk of that ass whoopin every time they hear him use that word.

  4. I have a major issue with Latinos’s using the N-word. None of those Mexican kids intervened when that boy threw a basketball at that man, yet they wanna try and jump him at the end. That man was 64 years old.
