“The Famous Jett Jackson” Commited Suicide!!!! OMG!!!

tumblr_m8roxkAQNK1qe0gimo1_500Lee Thompson Young — who played the main character on Disney’s “The Famous Jett Jackson” — has died after what officials believe is a suicide … TMZ has learned.  He was 29. Sources tell us Young’s body was discovered with a gunshot wound that appears to be self-inflicted. Young currently appears in the TNT show “Rizzoli & Isles” — and we’re told when he didn’t show up to work this morning, staffers called the landlord of Young’s L.A. home to check up on the actor. We’re told … when the landlord opened the door, he discovered Young’s body. Young was a rising star in Hollywood. After he made it big as a Disney star, he went on to play running back Chris Comer in the 2004 movie “Friday Night Lights.”

  1. I’m so sick of hearing about MILLIONAIRS killing themself! Take a walk in my shoes some days I don’t eat….such a cop out

  2. So sad!! He was such a cutie pie!! So young and handsome with so much more life to live! Very very sad!

  3. RIP Lee I met him before he became known and he struck as a bright and talented person. Whenever he did a project I always tuned at least once just to see him work. I’ve never heard anything negative about him but just because he’s beautiful we couldn’t see what was going on inside. Tonight I pray for his family and friends and if anyone gets to that precipice please reach out and cry for help.

  4. I am so shocked by this and just can’t comprehend why he did it.

He was very handsome and on a pretty popular show.

He might have been able to play Cyborg in the Justice League movie once it gets up and running since he played the same character on “Smallville”.

    R.I.P Lee 🙁

  5. RIP. I grew up watching him on Disney. This is incredibly sad. If it wasn’t for him playing Jett Jackson I wouldn’t be into leather Jackets. I really hope he is at peace now. What a way to go out.

  6. I just listened to “Silent Prayer” by Shanice and broke down in tears. I am huge fan, his beautiful hazel eyes will never open again. #done

  7. 🙁 RIP Lee…I love him on Rizzoli & Isles and when he was on Friday Night Lights.

  8. I am pretty much done for the rest of the day, seriously I don’t understand life when I read shit like this; I guess more money (his net worth $13 million) & fame truly equals more problems. Hmph….he seemed to have what so many other want yet he was clearly unhappy, suicide is an escape. Imagine being to the point where you refuse to wake up to another day in your current situation. I am sorry, that’s just DEEP! I’m just plain ole me, I got about 50 cents in my checking account and I will be 40 years old in 2 days and I BE DAMN if I am going to take my life!!!!

  9. RIP Lee,we don’t know what issues he was dealing but if anyone out there is dealing with symptoms of depression that lasts more than a few weeks. You must get help from a doctor. You may have clinical depression. Please google the symptoms of depression.Suicide is a permanant solution to a temporary problem. If you are feeling hopeless, empty, despair, loss,… please google the warning signs of depression.

  10. Dude, I had such a huge crush on him.Back when he was Jett Jackson, I used to think he was so cool.Mainly because of Silverstone.I was in shock reading this.

  11. COME AND GET ME OF THIS DAMN FLO!!!!!!!!!!!!! i WAS NOT TOO LONG TELLING A FRIEND THAT I ONLY WATCH RIZOLLI AND ISLES TO SEE HIM…. #FAINTS

  12. I didn’t know of him that well, but its sad that people aren’t willing to stick it out and fight to the end.

I know some people are probably thinking he was fine and had money and a good career, but none of that equals happiness. You never know what people are going through and what’s going on aside from what we see.

    1. Amen!! It infuriates me when people try to demean people who commit suicide and call them weak, selfish, etc. You don’t know what someone could be going through, what demons they face, what’s really going on in their lives, etc.

      R.I.P. He was beautiful.

  13. I’m over here teary eyed i loved him on rizzoli and isles, so handsome and talented omg my heart aches for his family that is so sad and in 2010 i contemplated suicide so i can’t and won’t judge him i just pray he found peace that this earth couldn’t provide him

    1. ^i am in complete shock.
i wont judge him as well.
i was about to kill myself a month ago.
thank god for this blog because i was on my way out.
      people joke about suicide,
but when you are complete fed up and hurt,
you would rather die than live.
i’m glad you didn’t do it malcolm.
